Last week’s raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home represented the culmination of a criminal investigation pushed by a partisan bureaucrat who called January 6, 2021, the “absolute worst” day of his life. (snip) the die was cast this spring when the DOJ went to the grand jury about Trump’s presidential records.(snip) The retired archivist then explained how he remembered “watching the Trumps leave the White House and getting off in the helicopter that day, and someone carrying a white banker box, and saying to myself, ‘What the hell’s in that box?’” According to Ferriero, “that began a whole process of trying to determine whether any records had not been turned over

Cleveland contrasts that Archives’ treatment of Trump with that of Hillary. And there’s this: Third, Ferriero’s comments during a post-retirement interview discussing Jan. 6, suggest he holds an anti-Trump bias. “On his office television, David S. Ferriero, the archivist of the United States, had watched outgoing President Donald Trump whip up the right-wing crowd near the White House,” the Post reported. Ferriero said he recalled watching “this angry mob … really angry, angry people” and thinking to himself, “if these people realize what’s in this building they’re passing, we’re at risk here.” The former archivist called January 6, 2021, “the worst day of his tenure as the keeper of the nation’s collective memory,” and “the worst day of my life” — “the absolute worst.”

A single white banker’s box? How about the truckloads of boxes which 0bama has stored in a warehouse in Chicago? How about the 33,000 under subpoena emails which Hillary destroyed (but which Putin surely has)? Does anyone believe that there are/were no classified documents in those collections? Heads need to roll. Really roll.

A partisan Bureaucrat is behind the whole DOJ warrant and raid. Did David S. Ferraro ever get Obama's presidential records back to the Archives? If yes, when. If no, why not? It's been six years, David.

More BS. As if one archivist can sway all of Washington. The FBI, DOJ, the Biden administration, 1/6 committee, and the rest of Congress ran with this nonsense because they are as biased against Trump as the clown from Archives. We are seeing stories like this because Washington overstepped its boundaries and doesn't want to be held accountable.

#8, all of those things are true, but there is a lynch-pin in the middle of it. And The Federalist is NOT a paper to run with "sensational" items, nor would they give cover to Dems and Washington politicians. I trust them more than any publication out there right now. They actually are journalists, not "reporters". I would not slander Ms. Cleveland, or anyone else, so quickly.

FTA: Then there was Ferriero’s admission that he decided to retire at the end of April 2022 “because he is worried about the political future.” “It’s important to me, that this administration replace me,” Ferriero said, adding, “I’m concerned about what’s going to happen in 2024. I don’t want it left to … the unknowns of the presidential election.” That’s quite a strange statement for an archivist to make, suggesting as it does that politics matter in the performance of his role.

If your vehicle’s catalytic converter was one of 44,000 recently stolen in Washington, Nevada, California, Texas, Oregon or New York, authorities may have arrested the group responsible. Police detectives in Beaverton, Oregon, said they've identified the man who orchestrated a $22 million catalytic converter trafficking operation based in Portland and spanning six states since January 2021. A Washington County grand jury indicted 12 people on racketeering, aggravated theft, money laundering and other charges on July 29, police said Thursday. Oregon detectives began investigating late last year. After searching eight locations, they uncovered last week 3,000 catalytic converters, hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, a vehicle and jewelry, authorities said.

Some 5,000 Texans who used a P.O. box as a voter registration address will likely be able to cast a ballot in the state’s midterm elections after a federal judge blocked a 2021 state election law. Senate Bill 1111 attempted to tighten residency guidelines for Texas voters, but was struck down this month by U.S. District Court Judge Lee Yeakel, an appointee under former president George W. Bush. Yeakel (snip), found in a summary judgement that the state used vague language in the election law and parts of it failed constitutional scrutiny. Since the Mar-a-Lago raid, Republican leadership has been bloviating at every opportunity about how they will “investigate” crimes of the Democratic Party and their three-letter agency allies like The Erinyes should the GOP win back Congress, as widely predicted, in November.
