Justice Department should have subpoenaed
documents, not raided Trump’s home

Original Article

The decision by the Justice Department to conduct a full-scale morning raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home does not seem justified, based on what we know as of now. If it is true that the basis of the raid was the former president’s alleged removal of classified material from the White House, that would constitute a double standard of justice. There were no raids, for example, on the homes of Hillary Clinton or former Clinton administration national security adviser Sandy Berger for comparable allegations of mishandling official records in the recent past. Previous violations of the Presidential Records Act typically have been punished by administrative fines, not criminal prosecution.

Just remember in his rawest moments FJB is a bully. So when presented with the option of using the FBI/DOJ to look for documents he would want a spectacle. Also, it is possible that the FBI took papers unrelated to the specific documents and will "salt" the seized documents with incriminating documents and claim Trump is guilty of whatever they want it to look like.

How can they say that Trump ran off with classified US Government documents when as US President, Trump was the ultimate authority as to what documents are deemed to be classified, and on his own had the authority to declassify any documents at the White House. So as a defense Trump could say that he had declassified all the documents that he removed from the White House to his personal residence, that has an approved secure location where those documents could be discussed, read, or stored. In addition Trump still maintains his presidential level security clearances. Since the FBI raiding a former President’s home sets a huge precedent and was never before done in the history of the USA, you have to wonder who was the federal judge who signed such a search warrant?

The judge who signed the warrant was not a federal judge, confirmed by the U.S. Senate. He was a magistrate who was associated with Jeffrey Epstein. If Judicial Watch or Elon Musk ever succeeds in getting the Epstein client list, this judge's name is likely to be on it.

question: Why...if the presidential records/archive office is in DC, FBI/DOJ is in DC, and they contemplate searching and seizing property from a former president in an unprecedented raid, why would they shop the warrant to a mere magistrate in Palm Beach? One who is a Obama/Biden donor to boot. Who is the agent that called for this? Who signed off on it? Why wasn't a Trump representative/lawyer called 1st to meet them, receive the warrant and make sure that ONLY the specific warrant listed item were touched, let alone removed..and all items seized inventoried at that time?.

I was once received a security violation for leaving a confidential padlock laying on my desk unlocked and unattended. I had relinquished the classified materials but had not returned the "locked" lock and key to the security dept.

Jose Bidet had been pressuring his AG to go after Trump... shades of Nixon... and so he did. None of it was done properly, nor in a manner befitting a former President of the United States, especially one who is still wildly popular. The vindictive pernicious Demons of DC, so blinded by their visceral hatred of Trump and his populist movement, that they would throw caution to the wind and call out the storm troopers to do their worst. Use of such extreme power brings consequence when it isn't used in a righteous manner... that consequence being "blowback" and the reaction will be swift and extreme. Nothing short of declaring Martial Law will save the Demonrats now.

Everyone knows that in January 49 BC Julius Caesar, about to lead part of his army across the Rubicon river, said “Alea iacta est,” “the die is cast.” Except that, according to Plutarch, what he really said was “Ἀνερρίφθω κύβος,” “let the die be cast,” and he did not so much say it as quote it, since the already-proverbial line came from the Greek playwright Menander. Anyway, in bringing an army across the stream that separated cis-Alpine Gaul from Italy proper, Caesar had committed treason. In crossing the Rubicon he had crossed a line, sparking the civil war that engulfed Rome and formalized the end of the Republic

"These are dark times for our nation," former President Donald Trump declared in response to the FBI's Monday morning raid on his Mar-a-Lago club and private residence in Palm Beach, Florida. He compared the event to "an assault" that "could only take place in broken, Third-World countries." Startled during the slow summer season, when Mar-a-Lago is closed and Trump resides at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, the staff complied with a search warrant. Ostensibly, the warrant applied to documents that Trump is alleged to have improperly removed from the White House in possible violation of the Presidential Records Act, which requires official records to be transferred to

The FBI is dissolving before our eyes into a rogue security service akin to those in Eastern Europe during the Cold War. Take the FBI's deliberately asymmetrical application of the law. This week the bureau surprise-raided the home of former President Donald Trump -- an historical first. A massive phalanx of FBI agents swooped into the Trump residence while he was not home, to confiscate his personal property, safe, and records. All of this was over an archival dispute of presidential papers common to many former presidents. Agents swarmed the entire house, including the wardrobe closet of the former first lady. Note we are less than 90 days out from a midterm election

“Be careful what you wish for. Ms. Bowser and Mr. Adams — who, so far as we know, haven’t uttered a single word critical of President Biden’s open-borders immigration policies — have been complaining loudly in recent weeks that their cities are been inundated with thousands of illegal immigrants. It seems that someone told Congress that deficits cause inflation, but forgot to mention why (or Congress wasn’t listening to the explanation). How else can you explain the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 with a straight face? The massive spending package that Senate Democrats are set to vote on Saturday, which allocates funding for health care, fighting climate change and controlling prescription drug costs in exchange for raising some taxes, focuses largely on deficit reduction that will have no effect on inflation. It’s excessive money creation — the printing of more bills at the direction of the Federal Reserve, reducing the spending value of those already in circulation

One thing we must give Democrats credit for is their unity. Yes, certain members of the party such as Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) will occasionally diverge from the party line and oppose particularly radical pieces of legislation, but when it comes to big moments and key votes – on impeachment, for instance – Democrats circle the wagons. Contrarily, Republicans tend to fracture at the most inopportune moments, which is why it was refreshing to see virtual unanimity amongst the GOP after Monday’s outrageous raid on former President Donald Trump’s residence Mar-a-Lago. Almost all notable Republicans supported Trump after the ordeal; all except for one.

Politics is like that, too, though participants often claim it's not, that they're acting for the greater good, principles at the foundation of democracy, motherhood and apple pie and all that — which is true in some cases but never if Democrats are in the game. This brings me to Attorney General Garland's claim that the Mar-a-Lago home invasion wasn't a raid at all.
