Republicans Demand Garland, Wray Testify
at Judiciary Committee on Trump Raid

Original Article

Republicans are demanding that FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland appear before the House Judiciary Committee on Friday to explain the Department of Justice’s actions in raiding former President Donald Trump. FBI agents executed a search warrant at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, Florida, residence on Monday, ostensibly in connection with an investigation into the handling of presidential documents. It was the first such raid in the history of the country. As Democrats and liberal cable pundits celebrated, Republicans were united in their condemnation of what appeared to be an effort to abuse law enforcement to target a member of the opposition and a likely candidate in the next presidential election.

They will either "have a plane to catch" or if they show up, will say NOTHING, hiding behind "ongoing investigation, can't answer that" for every single question. Pointless to even try. Impeach both of them.

I blame the Cheneys and the GOPe. Dick Cheney's commercial and the GOPe's hysterical opposition to Trump emboldened the Dems into thinking that they can get away with railroading a former POTUS. I think they're right. Crickets from the Bushes and Cheneys.

Demand, demand, demand, Good luck on that. Issue them summons. If they don't come have capital police handcuff them and deliver them to the chamber. Sould be a great show piece.

Oh, please. Republicans calling for another show trial. We are pass that. It is clear now that Republicans will do what they do best: Nothing. Remember this come November. We have lost control of our government. They (Wray and Garland) should both be fired and arrested for political persecution and abuse of power. So should any other administration officials that were in on it. So should the judge. So should all the FBI commanding officers involved with the raid and their immediate superiors. Guessing the driving force behind this is the 1/6 'committee'. They are claiming they will have more 'evidence' and more 'trials' this autumn. Guess where that 'evidence' will magically come from. Everyone on that committee should be impeached and imprisoned. So should Pelosi for permitting that 'committee' to exist. This all reeks of corruption and tyranny. It is blatantly obvious.

Unfortunately the R’s have no say, no input, no expectations that Nadler will have the committee convened. Nice rhetoric but it’s going nowhere. Remember if you get the power…

I am sorry but I do not have much faith in demands of Republicans. They will fold or go silent. Not one of them is one tenth of the man Trump is. A lesser man would have caved and given up a long time ago. Trump is lucky to have a good family with him to back him and support him.

Republicans can't really do anything now, other than make noises (and they're good at that and little else). They need to wait until they take control of congress and then get the FBI and the DOJ to testify under oath. Will that happen? I don't think they have the balls for that but that is what should be done.

Days after the unprecedented raid of Donald Trump’s Florida home, AG Merrick Garland finally decided to address the public on Thursday regarding the matter. Some naively hoped that he’d provide a legitimate justification for the raid, but as expected, that didn’t materialize, mostly because there was no justification. Instead, Garland danced about while revealing a few noteworthy things. One, we learned that he was the one that ordered the raid, which is not surprising given he’s a partisan who obviously holds a grudge against the former president. Two, the DOJ is asking the judge in the case to unseal the warrant, which may or may not tell us anything

FBI agents who raided Donald Trump's Florida resort on Monday were hunting for classified documents relating to nuclear weapons, sources said on Thursday evening. Details emerged soon after Attorney General Merrick Garland appeared before cameras to defend the search and reveal that he had approved the operation at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. Fall-out from the unprecedented search of a former president's residence has dominated the political world ever since Monday and the Justice Department is under increasing pressure to explain its decision. Garland said he could not reveal further details of what prompted the hunt, but sources told the Washington Post it was to do with nuclear weapons.

It took 30 FBI agents 3 DOJ agents and NINE HOURS to scour the home for evidence in their ongoing fishing expedition.

Attorney General Merrick Garland suggested Thursday that the Department of Justice (DOJ) sought “less intrusive” means of obtaining presidential documents before using a search warrant, and an FBI raid, on former President Donald Trump’s home. Garland’s remarks were the first public comments made by the DOJ since Monday’s raid, which shocked many observers. He confirmed that he had personally approved the search warrant — though he left open the question of the methods of the raid. Garland did, however, suggest that the DOJ saw the raid as a last resort: “[T]he department does not take such a decision lightly where possible. It is standard practice to seek less intrusive means

If Donald Trump was going to run again, we assumed that the media would once again be the former president's largest pool of support, unwittingly, of course, with the nonstop negative coverage that would have only pushed more voters into his corner. Matt Taibbi noted that they're the "kingmakers of suck," arrogant, and more concerned with expounding on their moral superiority than covering the elections properly. Post-Russian collusion hoax, no one believes them, as evidenced by the appalling trust numbers the American public has given this industry over the past five or so years. That all ended last night.

Though all that seems to have happened during the banana republic-like raid, the FBI did something else, something even more horrific: it rooted through Melania Trump’s clothes, rifling through her outfits and underwear in what can be interpreted as nothing other than a gross attempt at humiliating the former president and his family.
