We are here because we discuss uncomfortable truths. We accept things as they are, and not as we would wish them to be.
Since the original innocuous tweet 48 hours ago, from a private account, which did not even use the name “Trump,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been absolutely silent about the illicit FBI raid on the home of Florida citizen and former President Donald J Trump. DeSantis is showing us all who he really is; but are you willing to accept it?

As if had the names been reversed Trump would be doing anything differently.

FTA:
Ron DeSantis is a good governor for the state of Florida and has many attributes that make him important for a host of reasons, but this is not a war-time general. Ron DeSantis is a politician.
Accept things as they are, not as you would wish them to be. Because this is the same man that many people would select to face the greatest enemy to our republic. DeSantis is showing us right now that he does not possess the courage, desire in scale, or ability to fight the enemy we face in this battle.
DeSantis is a good finisher, a good maintainer, a good and solid ally who operates well when surrounded by the fortune of an aligned legislative body; but he is not yet the weapon that can stop the corrupt UniParty enemy within our republic.

DeSantis is a former special assistant U.S. Attorney and is a JAG in the Navy Reserve. As a lawyer, he knows when to speak and when to be silent. My sense is that his silence is a sign of timidity. There may be other shoes about to drop. Time will tell.

Stop it. Don't pile on DeSantis, don't pit one good guy onto another. DeSantis shows us who he is everyday with his actions. If any of you don't think that DeSantis' home could be raided next, I'd say you are mistaken.
Every single Republican that is successful has a target on their back and its time to Rally, not take them down, that's what the media does.

I adore both Sundance and OP, but I don’t know that I agree on this one. I smell a Trump set up. DeSantis may be a part of it or know about it. DeSantis is not a coward and would not shy away from commenting. I may be off on the reason, but I definitely feel that all is not as it seems. Something else than the narrative is going on.

Sorry, not willing to throw DeSantis other the bus over this. He's never been afraid to be outspoken. SOMETIMES, it's better to let everything unfold, and let everyone see the ugly, before commenting.

Every time there is a mass shooting in this country, within seconds every lie-beral talking head out there blames a white supremist conservative Christian for doing the shooting. When it quickly proves to be another massively mentally ill lie-beral that did the shooting, they just shut up but they never apologize or admit they were wrong.
DeSantis wisely chose to wait a short time until he could gather the facts, and then made a very solid and forceful declaration!!! I respect that.
Trump is my man in 2024, but DeSantis is my choice in 2028 and 2032!!!!!

Thank goodness a blogger has cleared up any confusion I might have had as to who is on whose side. Obviously Ron DeSantis, who I thought was doing a great job working for his constituents and taking no BS from the media and Democrat goons, lacks courage. What a surprise since during his entire time as governor of Florida most of us as seen a man with a spine of steel who has taken positions that bring out the worst in our ruling class. He hasn't backed down once, or so we thought. Thank you Sundance for cluing us all into the hollowness of Ron DeSantis. Your perspicacity is an oracle for us all.

DeSantis did comment that we are living in a banana republic on the day of the raid. There has been nothing further he could say, as more facts are coming out. I don't think DeSantis is done with this matter. The rants and ravings have been useless. Outrageous! Terrible! Concerning! DeSantis has jumped over that hurdle with his banana republic comment, and done as much as anyone else. We will see what comes next.

Forgive the second post (see #3). My sense is that his silence is NOT a sign of timidity. There is nothing in his record to date indicating he is risk averse. He simply may have heard something that has not come to light. He may be holding his ammunition or prefers to let his remarks stand without further comment.

This blogger is an outward liar, or just a provocateur. As was stated here by many commenters, DeSantis DID comment the same day, denouncing the raid. Shame on those in this room who took the bait, and followed Sundance off the truth cliff like blind hogs.

FTA: "On the day after the raid, much like the entire DC Decepticon establishment, Ron DeSantis hid in the bunker and kept quiet. No tweets." and "DeSantis is showing us right now that he does not possess the courage, desire in scale, or ability to fight the enemy we face in this battle." In spite of Sundance often being treated like the third rail of L.com, Sundance did not provide sufficient data to support such conclusions. That's like saying, "It's one hundred degrees on the outdoor thermometer; that must mean it's time to fill up the car with gas." Presenting one's feelings or bias as objective fact is something the democrats do routinely. Linking DeSantis with DC Deception establishment is a low blow, uncalled for due to a perceived failure of DeSantis to run in front of the media or, his failure to tweet (gasp).
FTA: "Ron DeSantis is a good governor for the state of Florida and has many attributes that make him important for a host of reasons, but this is not a war-time general. Ron DeSantis is a politician." Gen. Hooker must have felt the same way about Stonewall Jackson right before Jackson's surprise forced march and flanking attack on Hooker's army at Chancellorsville sent Hooker scurrying back across U S Ford on the Rappahannock.

Once again, Sundance goes off on a hyped headline that is clearly and factually wrong. In other words, this isn’t the first time he dribbles out unsupported nonsense intended to mislead his followers and conservatives. Another words, he doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. DeSantis made comments about the MAL raid immediately afterwards. DeSantis is the strongest conservative politician along with Trump. Perhaps he’s more deliberative, and more articulate, and more deliberative than Trump. Nevertheless, he’s never undercut Trump. He’s just been an outstanding governor of one of our largest States. I don’t know what this Sundance is trying to instigate here, but if you’ve followed him in the past, surely you must know he’s 1/10th fact and 9/10ths bull.

Chaos and panic invite suspicion and distrust. DeSantis could be the "wise eagle who hides its claws" or he's doing the "silence is golden" thing for now. DeSantis is a politician and he knows the evil Rahm Emmanuel's famous quote, "you never want a serious crisis to go to waste". DeSantis will take advantage of this political opportunity that's just been delivered and is now strategizing his next move.

I totally disagree with this "Author". I live in Florida. DeSantis walks on water as far as his Voters are concerned. He is a exceptionally Smart man. He also is NOT afraid to do what is needed. Just ask Disney. I think he needs to stay out of this, after all, if Trump decides NOT to run, DeSantis is OUR Guy! He doesn't need to get in the middle of Trump's problems. Trump can handle it without anyone's help. So, Mr. Sundance, don't try to smear OUR GUY! Go play somewhere else!

The raid of MAL is another escalation in the weaponization of federal agencies against the Regime’s political opponents, while people like Hunter Biden get treated with kid gloves. Now the Regime is getting another 87k IRS agents to wield against its adversaries? Banana Republic.

It is curious to me that the author uses a pseudonym. Perhaps that is his or her real name? I tend to question the motives and credibility of someone attacking DeSantis, in light of DeSantis’s “banana republic” comments.

The GOPe is doing what they did in the "Russia, Russia, Russia" hoax - hiding. You'd think after six years of the Deep State's non-stop pursuit of Trump, elected Republicans would figure out that this is just another witch hunt.

I have never been for anyone but Pesident Trump. Not since he announced his candidacy. I am still for him and will vote for him again.. I have also been a DeSantis fan since he was in the House. Probably before most even noticed him. I do think Sundance’s comments are worth consideration. When our minds snap shut, we’re in real trouble.

I don't think that the intelligent people who pay attention (unlike the author) have their minds closed. But as my teachers and pastor always said, don't let your mind be so open that your brains fall out your ears. DeSantis did say something, but the media ignored it after the first day it was news.
Now we have a formerly reputable blogger with a website that used to be credible, but he is slipping badly in his efforts to get readers. Maybe if he loosened his fist and let people comment without worrying about the echo chamber ban hammer he might have more readers.

Dershowitz, Cuomo, WaPo, NYT, ad infinitum are doing the talking from him, why should he open his mouth?
Can he say anything more appropriate than what the President of El Salvador said?
“If I did this, America would invade me” ( I paraphrase)
