We are here because we discuss uncomfortable truths. We accept things as they are, and not as we would wish them to be. Since the original innocuous tweet 48 hours ago, from a private account, which did not even use the name “Trump,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been absolutely silent about the illicit FBI raid on the home of Florida citizen and former President Donald J Trump. DeSantis is showing us all who he really is; but are you willing to accept it?

Comments:

He’s a politician. Perhaps not as fearless as we’d hoped? We’ll see.

FTA: Ron DeSantis is a good governor for the state of Florida and has many attributes that make him important for a host of reasons, but this is not a war-time general. Ron DeSantis is a politician. Accept things as they are, not as you would wish them to be. Because this is the same man that many people would select to face the greatest enemy to our republic. DeSantis is showing us right now that he does not possess the courage, desire in scale, or ability to fight the enemy we face in this battle. DeSantis is a good finisher, a good maintainer, a good and solid ally who operates well when surrounded by the fortune of an aligned legislative body; but he is not yet the weapon that can stop the corrupt UniParty enemy within our republic.

DeSantis is a former special assistant U.S. Attorney and is a JAG in the Navy Reserve. As a lawyer, he knows when to speak and when to be silent. My sense is that his silence is a sign of timidity. There may be other shoes about to drop. Time will tell.

Stop it. Don't pile on DeSantis, don't pit one good guy onto another. DeSantis shows us who he is everyday with his actions. If any of you don't think that DeSantis' home could be raided next, I'd say you are mistaken. Every single Republican that is successful has a target on their back and its time to Rally, not take them down, that's what the media does.

I adore both Sundance and OP, but I don’t know that I agree on this one. I smell a Trump set up. DeSantis may be a part of it or know about it. DeSantis is not a coward and would not shy away from commenting. I may be off on the reason, but I definitely feel that all is not as it seems. Something else than the narrative is going on.

Every time there is a mass shooting in this country, within seconds every lie-beral talking head out there blames a white supremist conservative Christian for doing the shooting. When it quickly proves to be another massively mentally ill lie-beral that did the shooting, they just shut up but they never apologize or admit they were wrong. DeSantis wisely chose to wait a short time until he could gather the facts, and then made a very solid and forceful declaration!!! I respect that. Trump is my man in 2024, but DeSantis is my choice in 2028 and 2032!!!!!

Thank goodness a blogger has cleared up any confusion I might have had as to who is on whose side. Obviously Ron DeSantis, who I thought was doing a great job working for his constituents and taking no BS from the media and Democrat goons, lacks courage. What a surprise since during his entire time as governor of Florida most of us as seen a man with a spine of steel who has taken positions that bring out the worst in our ruling class. He hasn't backed down once, or so we thought. Thank you Sundance for cluing us all into the hollowness of Ron DeSantis. Your perspicacity is an oracle for us all.

DeSantis did comment that we are living in a banana republic on the day of the raid. There has been nothing further he could say, as more facts are coming out. I don't think DeSantis is done with this matter. The rants and ravings have been useless. Outrageous! Terrible! Concerning! DeSantis has jumped over that hurdle with his banana republic comment, and done as much as anyone else. We will see what comes next.

Forgive the second post (see #3). My sense is that his silence is NOT a sign of timidity. There is nothing in his record to date indicating he is risk averse. He simply may have heard something that has not come to light. He may be holding his ammunition or prefers to let his remarks stand without further comment.

This blogger is an outward liar, or just a provocateur. As was stated here by many commenters, DeSantis DID comment the same day, denouncing the raid. Shame on those in this room who took the bait, and followed Sundance off the truth cliff like blind hogs.

FTA: "On the day after the raid, much like the entire DC Decepticon establishment, Ron DeSantis hid in the bunker and kept quiet. No tweets." and "DeSantis is showing us right now that he does not possess the courage, desire in scale, or ability to fight the enemy we face in this battle." In spite of Sundance often being treated like the third rail of L.com, Sundance did not provide sufficient data to support such conclusions. That's like saying, "It's one hundred degrees on the outdoor thermometer; that must mean it's time to fill up the car with gas." Presenting one's feelings or bias as objective fact is something the democrats do routinely. Linking DeSantis with DC Deception establishment is a low blow, uncalled for due to a perceived failure of DeSantis to run in front of the media or, his failure to tweet (gasp). FTA: "Ron DeSantis is a good governor for the state of Florida and has many attributes that make him important for a host of reasons, but this is not a war-time general. Ron DeSantis is a politician." Gen. Hooker must have felt the same way about Stonewall Jackson right before Jackson's surprise forced march and flanking attack on Hooker's army at Chancellorsville sent Hooker scurrying back across U S Ford on the Rappahannock.

Once again, Sundance goes off on a hyped headline that is clearly and factually wrong. In other words, this isn’t the first time he dribbles out unsupported nonsense intended to mislead his followers and conservatives. Another words, he doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. DeSantis made comments about the MAL raid immediately afterwards. DeSantis is the strongest conservative politician along with Trump. Perhaps he’s more deliberative, and more articulate, and more deliberative than Trump. Nevertheless, he’s never undercut Trump. He’s just been an outstanding governor of one of our largest States. I don’t know what this Sundance is trying to instigate here, but if you’ve followed him in the past, surely you must know he’s 1/10th fact and 9/10ths bull.

Chaos and panic invite suspicion and distrust. DeSantis could be the "wise eagle who hides its claws" or he's doing the "silence is golden" thing for now. DeSantis is a politician and he knows the evil Rahm Emmanuel's famous quote, "you never want a serious crisis to go to waste". DeSantis will take advantage of this political opportunity that's just been delivered and is now strategizing his next move.

Just ask Disney. I think he needs to stay out of this, after all, if Trump decides NOT to run, DeSantis is OUR Guy! He doesn't need to get in the middle of Trump's problems. I don't think that the intelligent people who pay attention (unlike the author) have their minds closed. But as my teachers and pastor always said, don't let your mind be so open that your brains fall out your ears. DeSantis did say something, but the media ignored it after the first day it was news. Now we have a formerly reputable blogger with a website that used to be credible, but he is slipping badly in his efforts to get readers. Maybe if he loosened his fist and let people comment without worrying about the echo chamber ban hammer he might have more readers.

The push to transition the national road fleet to electric vehicles (EVs) is on and while increasingly popular with buyers, experts in the transportation space are examining potential problems with mass EV adoption. One such issue involves EVs and evacuations during natural disasters. A report from Transportation Research published in ScienceDirect headlined “Can we evacuate from hurricanes with electric vehicles?” found that Florida—which often bears the force of hurricanes—may not have enough power to cope during an evacuation. “If the majority of the evacuating vehicles were EVs, Florida would face a serious challenge in power supply,” the report said.

Let’s hope Merrick Garland’s search of Mar-a-Lago is based on more evidence than his indictment of the Louisville, Kentucky, police officers involved in the raid on Breonna Taylor’s house. That passive construction I just used — “involved in the raid on,” instead of “who raided” — is not sloppy writing: It’s the facts. The officers who actually shot Taylor have not been charged, apparently on the flimsy grounds that they were being shot at when they fired. Instead, our lunatic attorney general has indicted officers who prepared the affidavit used to obtain the warrant to search Taylor’s home. In the words of the indictment, the affidavit “contained information that was false, misleading

A person close to the Trump family suggested the FBI may have planted “listening devices” during a raid targeting former President Donald Trump’s Florida residence earlier this week. Lawyers for the former president previously said that FBI agents would not allow Trump’s team to observe or supervise their search of Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. One lawyer, Lindsey Halligan, told Fox News on Thursday that agents are believed to have searched Trump’s bedroom, office, and a storage room. However, before getting into the specifics, it is important to remember the full context of the threat that only Donald J Trump represents. What was President Trump asking the Office of Director of National Intelligence, Dept of Justice and FBI to release for the past four years? What is contained within those documents?

If Donald Trump was going to run again, we assumed that the media would once again be the former president's largest pool of support, unwittingly, of course, with the nonstop negative coverage that would have only pushed more voters into his corner. Matt Taibbi noted that they're the "kingmakers of suck," arrogant, and more concerned with expounding on their moral superiority than covering the elections properly. Post-Russian collusion hoax, no one believes them, as evidenced by the appalling trust numbers the American public has given this industry over the past five or so years. That all ended last night.

President Joe Biden has been holding a series of secret meetings with historians, policy experts and even former President Bill Clinton, a new report revealed Thursday, as he navigates a variety of problems facing the nation. Biden met with a group of scholars last week on August 4, the same day a fierce lightning storm raged across Washington D.C., where they told him it a perilous moment in modern day political history, the Washington Post reported. The historians compared Biden's moment in history to the 1860 election when Abraham Lincoln warned that a 'house divided against itself cannot stand'

When the FBI raided Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, it didn’t just senselessly root through the former President’s files, crack open his safe, and snatch up boxes of documents to confiscate for whatever anti-Trump investigation they have going on. Though all that seems to have happened during the banana republic-like raid, the FBI did something else, something even more horrific: it rooted through Melania Trump’s clothes, rifling through her outfits and underwear in what can be interpreted as nothing other than a gross attempt at humiliating the former president and his family.

Again, there’s that long-running joke that we don’t have a secret police force or an American version of the Schutzstaffel because the Internal Revenue Service exists. Of all agencies in the government, this one probably has the most accurate and up-to-date files on every taxpayer, which is no surprise. It was seen as the most hated agency in America for legitimate purposes, though the FBI and DOJ might have supplanted them given the recent raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago. Still, the IRS becoming secret police might no longer be a joke. The page was taken down for problematic copy regarding the special agent positions,

Even before Congress and President Joe Biden give the final OK for the IRS to hire 87,000 more agents in an $80 billion package, the tax agency is revealing a priority job category that could get first dibs on the huge budget expansion. On its jobs page is a listing of vacancies for special agents to be placed around the country to root out financial fraud. But these are opening for more than just financial experts: They will also be armed. Among the job requirements listed: “Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary.”
