Was anyone really surprised when Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) announced that “highly credible” whistleblowers had given him information about FBI efforts to make the Hunter Biden scandal go away? Grassley wrote to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland Monday that “the information provided to my office involves concerns about the FBI’s receipt and use of derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden, and the FBI’s false portrayal of acquired evidence as disinformation. The volume and consistency of these allegations substantiate their credibility and necessitate this letter.” Will anyone hail me as a prognosticator of extraordinary powers when I predict, correctly,

The once highly respected FBI has been run into the ground by leftists and weaponized by obama & poopy pants. The CIA knew the Steele document was a false flag in less than a day but the FIB continued the lie top meet their political ends. Defund the FBI is correct - it can't be fixed it needs to be eliminated and replaced.

FTA: "The FBI today is a rogue, out-of-control agency in service not of justice but of the interests of the Democrat Party. It should be shut down. But will there ever be a president with the courage to do so?" There was a president with the courage. He was cheated out of his second term in 2020.

At a NASCAR gasoline alley where cars are worked and stored in garages, the pull rope of a garage door began to change shape with the passage of time and much use. A Black race car driver, looking for his 15 minutes, said the pull rope looked like a noose. Hundreds of FBI agents and thousands of dollars later the truth was revealed much to the consternation of the driver and his sponsors in the Democrat party which used their FBI as a tool create unrest in the Black community and drive up ratings for their running-dogs in the MSM.

If they are like any other government agency, or military unit, they put up with bad leadership and follow orders to keep their jobs, hoping that the next guy in charge will be better. Committing treason is a bit of a stretch but juries only frown on the old "just following orders" gambit when somebody is murdered. All they have to do is search out an all anti-Trump jury and they will be fine.

The FBI like the IRS should be disbanded. Its function handed over to the fifty state police authorities. A residual body for co-ordination, archiving and policing authority over Federal territories and overseas should be left in Washington. Same for IRS.

In recent weeks, West Virginia has demonstrated incredible leadership in the fight to limit the administrative state’s ability to implement policies based on environmental, social, and governance criteria, a practice commonly referred to as ESG. The recent Supreme Court win in West Virginia v EPA challenges the ability of any federal agency to enact sweeping regulations without explicit Congressional authority. Following the decision, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey wasted no time taking on the Biden administration’s effort to push its environmental agenda through the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). While the AG is fighting ESGs in the court system, State Treasurer Riley Moore has been working

Winston Churchill was a magnanimous man of exemplary character, yet Stanley Baldwin tested his limits. He held Baldwin responsible for Britain’s lack of preparedness to go to war with Germany when the crisis inevitably came, as Richard Langworth recounts. During the blitz, when informed that a German bomb had fallen on Baldwin’s house, Churchill quipped, “What base ingratitude.” When Baldwin died Churchill rendered judgment: “I wish Stanley Baldwin no ill, but it would have been much better had he never lived.” Yesterday President Biden looked back on his bout with Covid and bragged about his putative accomplishments suppressing the epidemic. The White House has posted the transcript of Biden’s remarks here.

Precautions will be taken to protect him from a “rebound” infection. Where is Kevin O’Connor, the president’s personal physician? He appears to have adopted his own basement strategy a la the Biden 2020 presidential campaign. He has remained away from the press and issued daily written reports in lieu of any briefings where he might be asked uncomfortable questions such as what medications the president is on. White House Covid response director Ashish Jha has done the talking. Why is that?

So remember the leak of the draft Alito majority opinion overturning Roe v. Wade in the Mississippi abortion case (Dobbs), that looked a lot like the eventual official majority opinion? To say that the Biden administration failed to think through the consequences of confrontation with Russia over Ukraine might be the understatement of the 21st century. Western observers are shocked—shocked —to learn that Putin will ally himself with our enemies. The U.S. economy shrank in the spring for the second consecutive quarter, meeting the criteria for a recession as record-high inflation and higher interest rates forced consumers and businesses to pull back on spending. Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of goods and services produced across the economy, shrank by 0.9% on an annualized basis in the three-month period from April through June, the Commerce Department said in its first reading of

The government reported Thursday that Gross Domestic Product shrank by 0.9 percent in the April through June period. Economists had expected the economy to grow by 0.3 percent, according to the Wall Street Journal. The economy contracted by 1.6 percent in the second quarter. Many Americans consider two straight quarters of recession to be the marker of a recession. Economists, however, rely on the determination of the National Bureau of Economic Research to say when a recession starts.
