US lawmakers and military experts are cautioning Americans about the risks posed by DNA testing services, claiming sophisticated weapons could use that information to “target” individuals. “There are now weapons under development, and developed, that are designed to target specific people,” Rep. Jason Crow, a Democrat who represents parts of Colorado, said Friday, according to the Washington Examiner. “That’s what this is, where you can actually take someone’s DNA … their medical profile, and you can target a biological weapon that will kill that person or take them off the battlefield or make them inoperable,” he reportedly explained at the Aspen Security Forum.

Del Rio Sector Border Patrol officials sounded the alarm after reporting the apprehension of more than 1,600 previously convicted criminal migrants who illegally entered the U.S. during the current fiscal year. The news comes after the arrest on back-to-back days of deported sex offenders.
“Thanks to agents in the Del Rio Sector, these two criminals won’t be on our streets,” Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens tweeted. “This is why we need our agents on patrol. This is our mission.”
The chief reported his agents apprehended two more criminal aliens on back-to-back days in July.

A Maryland public school district asserts kids have the “right” to keep their in-school gender identities private from parents, according to Montgomery County Public School’s “Guidelines for Student” Gender Identity.
The guidelines vow to “respect the right of students to keep their gender identity or transgender status private and confidential,” including parents who do not affirm the child’s perceived gender identity. When building a “Gender Support Plan,” educators are told to work with the student’s family only “if the family is supportive of the student” and their perceived identity, according to the district’s guidance.

Around 6:00 p.m. local time, multiple people called 911 to report an active shooter at the Greenwood Park Mall, Greenwood Police Department Chief Jim Ison told reporters.
During a media briefing Sunday, police said the shooter was armed with a rifle and several magazines of ammunition. The type was weapon was not described beyond being a long gun.
