President Biden will unveil Thursday his $37 billion plan to stem a rising wave of violent crime by adding more police, expanding mental health and job training programs, and cracking down on guns.
Mr. Biden will lay out the plan during a speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Under his proposal, Mr. Biden will set aside roughly $13 billion over the next five years to add more than 100,000 police nationwide.(Snip)At the same time, the federal government will spend roughly $3 billion to help local communities clear court backlogs to get criminals off the streets.(Snip)Mr. Biden’s plan would also create a $15 billion grant program

Bear in mind that the violence was fomented by our own government agencies working through BLM and Antifa, which are merely ideas. FTA: "Mr. Biden’s plan would also create a $15 billion grant program that cities and states can prevent violent crime by using mental health workers to respond to non-violent situations to ease the burden on police. It will also help recently released offenders reenter society by lifting restrictions on access to federal benefit programs."

Can you believe the insanity of the liberals? They CAUSE a crime wave by defunding the police and supporting the thugs. Then they take OUR MONEY to "fix" the crime wave THEY CAUSED (if they even can, so far they have failed at all they do) and we are supposed to be what? Grateful? Or furious that they are so stupid that they are messing everything up. They are criminally dangerous and toxic to this country. They should be buried deeply in a toxic waste landfill.

Enforce existing laws, promptly and vigorously prosecute criminals, use the bail system as it was intended, and swiftly apply the death penalty for heinous crimes. How does this require billions more in expense? Graft?

The local politicians’ sister in laws own the companies that will administer the disbursement of the funds. It’s all fine. Go back to sleep.

Remember Dollar Bill Clinton? Remember his 100,000 additional police officers program?
I arbitrated at least one case where the money in a local police department was used to set up radar traps, paying overtime to police officers to get certified in radar operations - the training paid out of the Clinton funds, and overtime for the officers to take the training.
And when I showed some surprise about the use of the money, both sides assured me that it was being used that way all over the State.,
Dementia Jo is offering a re- run of Dollar Bill Clinton's additional police officer money which will be used for overtime.

Key take aways...it funds alternatives to Police, ads social worker staff to courts that want to divert rather than incarcerate...and
MOST importantly increases Income transfer from victims directly to Criminals..takes from Tax payers to PAY convicted Criminals who didn't pay taxes...ever.
Give them free education, healthcare, legal services, targeted hiring opportunities, housing, foodstamps, even clothing,...childcare.."Privileges" the victims have the privilege of paying for.

I'll bet at least half of that money will go to people or places that have nothing to do with crime prevention.

13 billion divided by 100,000 is $130,000 for each officer Biden wants to hire. Because of the red tape and paperwork and the inevitable slew of paid consultants and administrators involved communities would be lucky to get half that.
The average cost to hire and fully train a police officer in the US is $147,000 the first year and a little less each ensuing year.
This election year pander has been rolled out many times in the last couple decades and every single time the actual number of Police Officers added to the Nations PD's is miniscule. The billions seem to get spent somehow, somebody is making a ton of money off these election year ploys, but the target communities never seem to actually get any new officers.
Most communities don't even bother applying. The money lasts a couple months and then the town officials have to go to the residents and ask for a tax increase to afford the new officers. Of the few new officers recruited most will burn out after a year or two and return to whatever they were doing prior to applying to the police academy, and that was before the BLM/Antifa crusade to pillory all men in blue began.

Total bullsh**. More money to be stolen by democrats. That's all it is. You want to stop crime. Get rid of your liberal judges and prosecutors and start putting thugs in jail and stop releasing them. Scum democrats are the ones who created this problem and now they want to pay off their lap dogs with taxpayer money for doing a great job. The same communists who defunded the police and supported BLM and Antifa now want to come to the rescue. When is this freakin country going to wake up. You want law and order, get rid of every democrat. Get it yet....

Remember Biden using federal money to hire 100,000 new police officers is a rehash of an old Bill Clinton federal boon-dangle, how much good did that do?
Much of the money is bound to either end up in the pockets of corrupt Democrat politicians or their supporters. Besides the criminals won’t cooperate with whatever social services or mental health programs that Biden’s handlers tell him to support.
It seems that every time Biden gives a speech he proposes to spend billions of dollars in federal money?

Bidet throws billion upon billions around, yet PDT couldn't get $5 billion to build a wall to keep criminal aliens out of the country.

In the same way that the USA proudly funded European socialism all these years (at least in part by providing their national defense), the feds are now printing money to ease the burden on corrupt socialist states in the USA, which cannot afford to pay for their own basic services. None of this is a federal issue, but that's not a problem provided the Republicans get their cut.
