Last Thursday, the Supreme Court officially ended its term after releasing final opinions on a number of cases.
But the Supreme Court still hasn't revealed who leaked the draft opinion of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization at the beginning of May. “It’s been 63 days since the draft Dobbs opinion leaked, and the Supreme Court leaker has still not been identified.”

Nope.
At least for sure, and officially.
They’ve kept the secret this long. No use to tell now.

At this point decision released, a couple small riots, no impact on midterms in poll, so probably no.

The exposure of the leaker would likely lead to demands for action, including the resignation of a Justice. A trial would not be in the Court’s best interests. Twenty years from now there will be a book…

After a while the leaker will proudly announce who they are, and NOTHING will be done, well, other than alot of applause and support.

My gut feel it was one of the liberal justices themselves and not a clerk. That is why the real culprit will never be identified. There are three of them take your pick.

I know left wing hypocrisy is an oxymoron, but after years of abhorring how Donald Trump undermined our institutions by criticizing the election process, they are all trying to outdo each other in undermining the institution of the court. President of the United States calls the court destabilizing? Sounds like a threat to democracy to me,

Odds are the leaker is Roberts. He knew he could effectively control the Marshall's investigation, and thereby protect himself. I believe the investigation was a sham. As of today, it's probable the SC will not make another public statement, and the matter will fade into obscurity. Roberts pulled this off well, probably better than he hoped.

In the unlikely event that a justice caused the leak, say by encouraging a clerk to do it, the Court would never publicly out the offending member or that justice's clerk. Call it professional courtesy, but it is really to avoid a public embarrassment to the entire Court, as well as opening a wound that would take years to heal.

Roberts instructed the marshall to "launch an investigation", NOT to finish one.
We'll never find out.....probably a candidate for the witness protection program.....

Someone should attend the next event where Sotomayer is speaking, and shout out the question: "Why did you leak the Dobbs decision?"

My bet; they know but don't think that the peasants have a right to. Besides, bringing it to light would potentiality harm the little snowflakes career and interfere with him covertly subverting the Constitution in the coming years.

I sure do miss Justice Antonin Scalia. I would love to hear his take on all this. Anyone who puts any trust in John Roberts is a fool. The man appears to lack integrity.

Way back when, I said here that someone I knew who had connections in D.C. said it was a radical clerk of the Wise (Wide) Latina. That's why I questioned the profuse praise of Clarence Thomas by Sotomayor recently...to cover their tracks.

Hard to believe the leaker could cover their tracks so thoroughly.
Hard to believe Roberts would order the leak secretly, then demand that an investigation be opened.
Hard to believe the leaker was a clerk who leaked the draft opinion without knowledge or instigation by the justice for whom they worked.
Hard to believe Breyer would instigate the leak; though he's liberal, he's an "old school" justice.
Easy to believe that Justice Sonia ordered one of her clerks to leak the draft and that they discovered she was the instigator. I can believe they decided it's better to hold the discovery in abeyance as a blackmail tool, so Sonia knows that if she indulges in further mischief, the findings will be released and she'll be shamed into stepping down.
For that matter, perhaps its better to leave her in place than to risk her stepping down only to allow Biden to nominate an even crazier and smarter prog to foul things up in the Court. This new Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, who appallingly admitted in hearings that she doesn't 'quite remember the basis' for the Dred Scott decision, is more than enough of a burden on the rest of the court, than to risk the appointment of another dolt who can't carry his/her own caseload without much tutoring and mentoring by the other justices.

Roberts is making (another) huge mistake not tracking this leaker down, and punishing him/her. It not only lowers the public's respect for the Court but also encourages such actions in future.

The fact that the leaker hasn't step forward to bask in the glory means he/she doesn't want it known.
Remember being a SCOTUS clerk is a rocket boost in your law career.
One of the most important things about lawyers is keeping secrets.
If you want to get into a top tier law firm being exposed as the leaker won't do it.
With the kind of clients they handle & the secrets they keep would you ever trust that person?
It's not about politics when your clients don't want that person near their secrets.
Given the choice of the top law firms or a brief gig with MSNBC what would you pick?

Waiting for Roberts to hunt down the leaker is like waiting for O.J. to hunt down Nicole's killer or killers.
