Joe Says No: Biden White House Blocks
New Atlantic, Pacific Oceans Drilling
as Global Energy Demand Soars

U.S. President Joe Biden has proposed blocking all new drilling in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans as the world cries out for more energy from more sources far from Russia, the Middle East, and the OPEC oil cartel. A plan released Friday shows the White House proposed no more than 10 potential lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico, an option for one potential lease sale in the northern portion of the Cook Inlet of Alaska, and no lease sales for the Atlantic or Pacific planning areas over the 2023-2028 period.

Comments:

I'm getting tired of conservative commentators and analysts blaming environmentalists for these decisions. These policies have nothing to do with the environment and the people behind them are not environmentalists - they are Marxists. Obama (who is really running things) and his Marxist lieutenants in the administration are using the environment as a publicly acceptable front for their desire to transform this country into a Marxist based socialist/communist system. Step one is to put our economy in the ditch (if people are enjoying the fruits of free market capitalism they won't want to transform). The Marxists are smart. They know that an abundance of energy at reasonable prices is the Mothers-milk of free market capitalism. They hate free market capitalism. So they set out on day one to cut energy production and distribution, sending prices sky high. The Marxists hope that the economy will get so bad that people will begin pleading with the federal government to DO SOMETHING. Obama will be ready with the answer - transform our country into a Marxist based socialist/communist country. Don't underestimate the Marxists hatred of our Constitution, historical icons (e.g. Founding Fathers, etc.), traditional values, and religions. So conservative commentators need to get their head out of their ass, figure out what is really going on, and start informing the American people.

From the standpoint of return on investment, I'd think going blue sea A&P would be about the last place prudent oil E&P executives would be looking. Plenty of other calmer, shallower water to tap, if price remains north of $60 or so. Still, not an encouraging signal to industry.

Except for a small amt in Alaskan waters, there is very little new drilling proposed in either Pacific or Atlantic costs of N.America. Most offshore drilling in N.American waters in in the Gulf of Mexico. While Biden's energy policies are a freakin' disaster, this latest prohibition will not impact America's energy independence in the least.

"Ten Percent for the Big Guy" Biden doing everything he can to help Putin by shutting down the American energy industry, and by taking our production off the world market, driving up crude oil prices so that Putin can sell HIS oil to China and India at the highest possible prices. Donald Trump’s flirtation with announcing a 2024 White House bid before the midterm elections is sending signals of self-doubt and political vulnerability, with Republican operatives saying the former president is motivating challenges to his supremacy over the party. Trump would begin any presidential primary with overwhelming advantages in popularity, name identification, and resources. But pulling the trigger on a third White House campaign prior to Election Day this November, as Trump concedes is possible, might boomerang. Rather than box out potential 2024 opponents and clear the field, such a move by the former president could reek of fear, inviting more competition for the Republican nomination.

ATLANTA - Republican Herschel Walker’s $6.2 million in fundraising looked impressive when unveiled Wednesday, until Democrat Raphael Warnock rolled out his $17.2 million total a half-hour later. The dueling Senate campaign numbers underlined two truths. Georgia is again going to be one of the most expensive races to run for office in 2022, and Democrats are building a strong fundraising advantage. Like Warnock, Democrat Stacey Abrams heavily outraised incumbent Republican Brian Kemp in the race for governor, collecting almost $50 million compared to the $31 million Kemp has brought in over a longer period. Abrams and Warnock plan to run closely linked campaigns, echoing many of the same themes.

Based on a casual reading of the polls, Donald Trump looks to have smooth sailing to the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 and the chance to erase the stink of losing to Joe Biden that he so covets. But if that’s the case, why does Trump seem so panicky these days? Simple: Trump is in trouble, and — when you dig into the numbers — his grip on the GOP nomination is getting more tenuous. It is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) who has all the momentum.
