Well, it happened. The Republican Party decided to play nice, try to get some good press with a media establishment that hates them, and join the legions of the righteous and blessed by hashing out a gun control bill during a midterm election cycle. Is everyone up there hitting the crack pipe? What are we doing? What the hell is this? We have category five hurricane gusts to our backs heading into November—and the GOP decided to do what it does best: find a new way to blow it. The economy is primed to enter a recession as the second-quarter report is bound to show another period of economic contraction.

An alleged intruder is in critical condition after being shot by a 93-year-old Moreno Valley, California, homeowner early Wednesday morning.
FOX 11 notes that the incident occurred “in the 24300 block of Eucalyptus Avenue.”
ABC 7 reports that Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home to find the alleged intruder shot.
He was transported to a hospital.

According to WFLD, last Thursday, 30-year-old Christoper Cruz was having an uninhibited day. He visited a local 7-Eleven and stole some merchandise.
When Christopher returned to the store that evening, a 19-year-old worker ordered him to leave. Christopher didn’t appreciate the directive, so he allegedly (apply that word to this entire story) punched the employee.
But before he did that, he did this: Amid harassing people in the parking lot, Christopher encountered Idriz Redzovic. Idriz had come to buy his six children slushies. Christopher offered a menacing “What are you looking at?”
Then Christopher assaulted the attendant, and Idriz intervened.

Dozens of cruise ship passengers were involved in an all-out brawl in a nightclub on a ship as it sailed through international waters headed for New York City overnight into Tuesday, according to reports.

Bruen was a landmark case that struck down the Empire State’s justifiable need clause in their carry law. It also affirmed that American citizens have the right to carry outside the home for self-defense. It was the worst week ever for liberals as they had to deal with this ruling and the overturning of Roe w. Wade the next day in the Dobbs case. ROME — Catholic League president Bill Donohue slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) Wednesday for politicizing the Eucharist by receiving Communion at the Vatican.

The military is facing the worst recruiting environment since the end of the Vietnam War.
The Army is at only 40% of its recruiting numbers for the fiscal year despite raising its maximum enlistment bonus from $40,000 to $50,000. It now offers new recruits up to $10,000 for showing up to basic training in 30 days. And is no longer even asking them for a high school diploma.
