Richard Haass, the president of the Council on Foreign Relations, told 'Morning Joe' on Wednesday that Liz Cheney Republicanism is conservative: "What we see today is that Republicans have ceased to be conservatives, and modern day Republicanism has become radicalism. It's become populist. (snip) That, to me, is obviously an unbelievably dangerous departure.
(snip) Can we basically get to a point where Liz Cheney Republicanism, which by the way is extremely conservative in her policies, whether we can get back to the point that regains control of the Republican party?

So what is “Liz Cheney Republicanism”? Bitter, vindictive, sell-out Republicanism?

What BS! I grew up with the Republicans. We don't need that. We need to go back to the Bible and the Constitution.

They were all more comfortable when the republican party represented "democrat-lite" in their uniparty system.

He wants the days when rich, elitist Republicans controlled the party by lying to its voters and made secret, back-room deals with the rich Democrats, who controlled that party.

Cheney has been set up to try for control of the American people that left the bush Republican Party...and left on the Trump train to individual freedom...MAGA grew because of cheney's and Rodney's swamp status ...and WE didn't like it...WE were told to crawl over broken glass to vote for the "party" candidates...and WE were sick of it...so MAGA was our answer...sorry bushes ...take a holiday at Kennebunkport and leave US alone...

RINO Faux Conservative is upset that real conservatives are taking over and kicking his cocktail party going , sneer at the little people crowd to the gutter.
We had enough of you elitist globalist pigs. Good bye. No one at all will miss you.
He thinks populism is dangerous because it means him and his elitist friends won't be in charge. It's only dangerous to his snobby ilk.

In a word, no. That kind of Republican may survive in safe states and districts, but cannot win a popular vote in a national race. This is what a political party looks like when it controlled by its voters, rather than insiders, rich donors, and small cadre of coastal intelligentsia.
Why would WE want that party back when we control the course of the party now?

The Republican party is the party of losers precisely because they take the advice of liberals. We’ll, that and their greed. It’s a new world, Richard. Wake up and smell winds shifting.

Attn Mr. Haass, you might have some push back from about 85,000,000 American MAGA people, you commies might think you know everything but you might reconsider this little ploy, lizzy is an outcast and the MAGA people heartily agree with our President on whatever he might say or think

I consider Liz Cheney to be a gool and a traitor. She does not represent America's best interests. You want the party to use HER as a model?

Gotta love the "More in Sorrow than in anger" advice from the left. No Cheney isn't a conservative, she's damned near not a Republican other than in name. We don't need a bunch of liars who run as conservatives and then jump into bed with the dem's and the left. She fails the sniff test.....looks like a dem, runs like a conservative, votes with the dem's, smells like a democrat.

Historically, that means a candidate convincing conservative voters that he will reduce federal spending, taxation and regulations then, once elected, refuse to do any of it and lecture their supporters about how they’re radical right wingers for having expected them to do as they said. “Liz Cheney Republicanism” is a newly fabricated term for that? “Self-serving Backstabberism” is a more truthful term, but we all know how fond politicians are of the truth. Too many of these Republicans have proven themselves less than worthless during the time I’ve followed politics, and at this point they can’t elicit shame out of me.

I will never vote for another Republican. The GOP must go. It is a sham party that exists only to provide the illusion of choice, and to support perpetual warmongering.
Conservatism delivered nothing but tax cuts and endless foreign military meddling. It is a bankrupt ideology that did nothing to stop the march of totalitarian socialism.
