Politics is, unfortunately, the art of the possible. I suspect that replacing McCarthy at this point is not really possible, most Repubs don't get it that he's not actually any good.

Probably should endorse him for reelection but he will turn on trump. I hope if republicans take back the house they get a real fighter for speaker, like jordan, or mtg or boeberts. Mccarthy leans rino.

I saw McCarthy today on Bartiromo. He always says nothing but staid political messaging he could have copied from a book, never providing any useful information. He answers the same way, avoiding Bartiromo's questions about him doing anything, because he is not going to do anything. I confess I skip over him on youtube as nothing to be learned from him.

McCarthy sucks and is not trustworthy, I suppose he need to be re-elected, but after his election the Republican house members need to elect a new leader for Speaker of the House.

I am no fan of Kevin McCarthy, but in order to knock him out of the leadership spot you have to have someone who is willing to challenge him (a very risky move) and is capable of mustering a majority of the votes of the House GOP delegation. Those two factors rarely come together.

Not happy about this but I understand the thinking. Making a deal with the devil is fraught with peril and I believe we can all see what is coming a mile away, Paul Ryan 2.0. McCarthy is a very bad choice for Speaker and I hope there will be a major push to prevent that from happening. I hate that McCarthy is rewarded for doing essentially nothing meaningful while the J6 political prisoners have had their Constitutional rights trampled. And that’s just one strike against him. The only thing he can organize are fund raisers and apparently, makes it known, you do as you are told or you are marginalized. Not a fan. The American people deserve better.

I think so #9. Jim Jordan has no brave souls who will step out to challenge the leadership system. The “group” that Jom Jordan should be able to count on for such a time is the House Freedom Caucus but it has turned out to be good for NOTHING.
