President Joe Biden addressed the nation Wednesday, May 25, to condemn the massacre in Uvalde, TX. Like any other tragic shooting, this proved a perfect opportunity to call for stricter gun control – and in the process, spew some more falsities presented as facts. No, it wasn’t deer in Kevlar this time, or how illegal it has always been to own a cannon. Instead, he used the school shooting as another chance to hype up a new federal assault weapons ban by boasting about the progress made by the last one. “When we passed the assault weapons ban, mass shootings went down.

Here's a fact: Obama's CDC Director reported that guns are used in the US 1,700+ times more often to save a life than to take a life in the US! How about discussing that aspect, instead of sweeping it under the rug?

Opinions on gun control are pretty much frozen, like abortion. You're either for controls or against them, with small degrees within each camp. And nothing will change minds. All this blathering is about building momentum for one side or the other, and facts matter zilch. The real issue is, like so many other social ills, the public sees this as a lack of "professionals" on the job. In the past the public has turned to educators, first responders, and others to lift the burden of responsibility from them for teaching their kids or looking out for one another, intervening as necessary. Now, call the professionals. The American public regularly exchanges liberty and money for the false "security" offered by mercenaries, or by demanding draconian laws. Reports are the cops in Uvalde dithered for at least 40 minutes before acting. The hero of the story, a Border Patrol agent, wasn't part of the response, but apparently took it upon himself. The tale is reminiscent of the Florida shootings a few years ago when the officer assigned the school took a powder when the shooting started. But let's buy more. We wonder why kids are afraid of life these days? More kevlar backpacks, please.

No. He didn't. This attack on the Second Amendment under guise of "assault weapons" is deliberate. The goal is to acquire state power denied persistently by the voters, through other means. The reason why you are paying $6/gallon for gas is exactly the same. If you cannot see the link, then you deserve to lose your tenuous freedoms.

The shooter in Texas didn't use "assault weapons." Can Creepy Joe explain what he means by an "assault weapon"?

Dems don't want teachers legally armed. Dems removed cops & security from many schools. (Note increased free-for-alls & beat downs.) Dems, making soft targets softer. And after every incident, these same Dems are quick to politicize it before the smoke clears. They don't need to wait for investigatory facts, they'll just create their own along with MSM's help disseminating it.

#5 asks Biden to explain what he means by "assault weapon". That is simple. An "assault weapon" is anything that can be used by a law abiding citizen to defend his or her self. This can be "automatic assault rifles that are virtually impossible for a citizen to obtain, or anything from an "assault knife", assault rock", or even "assault fingernails".

Biden has told this same lie about the “assault weapons ban” a number of times in public. He always gets called out on it - and he always does it again.

The movie 2000 Mules, a documentary by filmmaker and author Dinesh D’Souza has become the “most successful political documentary in a decade,” according to its distributor, Salem Media Group. D’Souza is getting mixed reviews from conservatives as well as the mainstream left with his latest cinematic effort. It is unlikely he anticipated a backlash of sorts from his own side of the political aisle, which begs the question: Why is the movie generating such a wide range of reactions?

President Biden revived his frequently ridiculed stage whisper Friday while addressing the US Naval Academy’s Class of 2022, stooping over his microphone to remind them that “I’m your commander-in-chief.” Biden addressed the graduates for approximately 25 minutes during the outdoor ceremony at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, during which he slammed Russian President Vladimir Putin over his three-month-old invasion of Ukraine.(Snip) The phrase “Finlandize,” which the president mispronounced as “Fingalize,” refers to Finland’s Cold War-era practice of treading lightly in international politics so as not to upset its near neighbors in Moscow. In what conservatives will surely label a “sell-out” by Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), the Senate Minority Leader on Thursday “encouraged” Senate Minority Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas) to work with Senate Democrats to “find a consensus on some legislation to respond to the shooting in Texas.” Translation: Gun-control legislation. As reported by CNN, McConnell met with Cornyn early Thursday and encouraged the senior senator from Texas to begin discussions with key Democrats, including Sens. Chris Murphy of Connecticut and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, to see if they can find a middle ground on legislation.

As soon as this weekend, President Biden could announce a plan to cancel $10k in student debt per borrower, according to WaPo, citing three people with knowledge of the matter. Biden could make the announcement at the University of Delaware's commencement ceremony on Saturday. The plan would apply to Americans who earned less than $150k in the previous year or less than 300k for married couples filing jointly. On April 6, the White House announced it would extend the pause of federal student loan repayments through August 31. It wasn't clear if the administration would extend the moratorium beyond this. Addressing the mass-shooting that claimed 21 lives in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday, Department of Public Safety Director Steven McGraw acknowledged Friday that responding officers waited too long to breach the classroom where the killing took place. Speaking to reporters at a press conference held at the scene of the shooting, McGraw said that the on-scene incident commander, Chief of Police Daniel Rodriguez, made the decision to fall back and wait for U.S. Border Patrol Tactical Teams to breach the classroom. McGraw said the decision to delay entering the classroom was mistaken. According to Texas active shooter doctrine, officers are required to make an immediate breach

Left-wing critics are demanding that HBO “cancel” Bill Maher after accusing the HBO “Real Time” host of delivering an anti-transgender monologue on last Friday’s show. David Kilmnick, who heads the nonprofit LGBT Network, wrote an article in Advocate magazine on Wednesday titled: “Bill Maher Has Gone Too Far With Anti-LGBTQ+ Comments.” Maher was blasted for saying that “we’re literally experimenting on children” by providing them with puberty blockers and other treatments aimed at facilitating gender transitions. He also said that transitioning was becoming “trendy.” Maher hit out at Chase Strangio, a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union, who cheered efforts to ban a book

Our betters in the World Economic Forum (WEF) gathered in Davos this week to decide what’s best for the planet and everyone on it (especially themselves). But Stéphane Bancel, CEO of Moderna, was sad. He was disappointed that the plebs don’t want his company’s revered COVID-19 vaccines. “It’s sad to say, I’m in the process of throwing 30 million doses into the garbage, because nobody wants them,” lamented Bancel as he participated in a panel discussion. “We have a big demand problem.” Actually, that sounds like a big over-supply problem to me, but what do I know? Bancel elaborated on the outreach efforts the pharma giant was making to “every country,”
