The flu shot used during the 2021 to 2022 virus season was a poor match and did little to prevent circulation, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report finds. Researchers found that the vaccine only reduced the number of mild influenza by 16 percent, which they do not consider statistically significant. The flu strain that struck America this year was of the H3N2 strain, one of the more dangerous versions of the virus, and the shot was not tailored to the specific version of the virus that ended up emerging. Experts had warned of a brutal flu season this year for months leading up to it,

Nice to know now that I experienced 6 weeks of excruciating and agonizing pain in my arm after getting this non-vaccine vaccine. Never had such a reaction before. Wonder if that Covid Non vaccine vaccine got had anything to do with it?

I've read that even in good years, the flu shot is only 20-30% effective which explains why I've gotten flu in spite of being vaccinated. Usually, the explanation from my doctor is "this strain wasn't in the flu shot." I expect I'll be more skeptical of flu shots from now on.

Flu? What's that? I thought Covid was the only illness one could get.

The CDC is a failed government bureaucracy and should be completely reorganized. Take a look at its mission statement.

Isn't it logical to think that the strains that emerge are always going to be those that are not covered by the vax?

So this is the pivot back to the flu. Since the flu shot “didn’t work”, the positive Covid test results we are seeing now were caused by the flu virus, not Covid. See this was one of the more “dangerous versions” of the flu virus, so now deaths are from the FLU. CDC needs defunded ASAP.

Isn't it also logical to think that the govt will lie, cheat, steal...and if deemed necessary or even desirable....kill us?

I got my yearly flu shot at the VA, and so far, I haven't gotten the flu. Normal precautions, like washing your hands, etc., have been working this year, like they seem to work every year. Not getting the 'jab' may be working in my favor also.

That was 100% predictable. The 2021/2022 concoction was based on 2019 data. Every other year's blend was based on the prior years data so to an extent it will always be a bit out of date but not by two years. Since there was insufficient data to draw on from 2020 we are two years remote from the data used to formulate this seasons juice.
Draw your conclusions regarding decisions to get or not get the flu shot on other years. This season is not a reasonable representation.

I got my usual flu shot in October but that is the last one. I'm reading they are going to start messing with them using the MRNA stuff. Also had the shingles shots in the Fall and that's the last of them. No more jabs. Of any kind.

A first person reply; About ten years ago now, I got a Flu shot and was very sick three different times. Never had a flu shot since and never was the recipient of getting a virus.
Got two Moderna shots to get on a plane and they never asked me if I had received A shot let alone two.
No repercussions but I do wish I never got them as I kind of knew that if I did get the virus I would just stay in bed for three days and I would have been fine. This is what my chiropractor did when he got the virus, and is OK now.
Now to No. 14; Did you ever have the shingles? I did, about 57 years ago and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I've received both the first go-round and the last, the shingrix because I will do anything not to have the shingles again.
Just my experience in all of this.

I have stopped all flu shots two years ago. I got the J&J (one shot). One and done, no more. I truly don't trust anyone about what goes into my body. I feel so sorry for those that went totally off the cliff with COVID....some are on their third or fourth booster. Their are still people driving in their cars alone with masks. If only they knew what damage those masks are doing to their mouth. Those people make up the 35% approval for Biden.

At age 67 I have had one flu shot. It was a raging flu more than 20 years ago, and it was late enough in the year that they had declared it to be a good match that time. I regret it.
Be very careful what concoction from the CDC you allow into your blood stream folks!!!
And be careful how ugly you treat a "pure blood" relative or friend who refused the covid shots....they might be the one taking care of you when your immune system starts napping.

Never had a flu shot and never had a covid jab. At this point, I can’t imagine allowing anyone to inject me with anything for the rest of my life. Except maybe some cortisone in my shoulder for bursitis.

So what's new? The annual flu vaccine is always a less than great match. It's not like a flu virus can't mutate. The vaccines should be promoted to seniors and the more vulnerable part of the population. If you a healthy and want to just suffer the flu then don't take the vaccine. Same for the Wuhan flu.

In 1968 I was ordered like all my fellow soldiers to take a vaccine to go to the far east. It was so bad all activity stopped for three days. The vaccine we were told was for the exotic diseases we would encounter in the jungles. Today I wonder what was in that cocktail, but it was painful. Today I don't take flu shots and never took the Covid experimental shot, never will. I don't trust the government or the corrupted organizations like the CDC or WHO or the likes of Fauci the gnome.

On open blogs, we can say whatever we like about COVID-19, but if ever get as far as Facebook, Twitter, etc., you will get shut down, shut up, or shut out. Name it Charlie Vector oh one niner. It will confuse the enemy long enough to get your point across.

Well, since the flu took the last couple of years off due to COVID, its had nothing but time to make itself deadly again. At some point it would be really nice if the CDC books got uncooked and we got some solid science numbers of actual deaths due to COVID and those who died with COVID.

We are hearing that the govt. is planning to combine the yearly flu shot with the Covid vaccine shot to "make it more effective or productive" whatever that means.

Got the flu vax. I did not get the jab.
This is what i advocate: wash your hands every opportunity, otherwise use hand sanitizer. DON'T touch your face, especially nose and eyes... germs find easiest access to your body that way.
We take vitamin D, and extra if exposed. And vitamin C, again taking a lot more if exposed or if not feeling tip-top. A buffered C won't upset stomach. I was dealing with a sore throat and swollen glands a couple of
Whether flu or cold or covid-like thingy, one thing we can always do is wash hands and do not touch face; cough or sneeze into your elbow (i sometimes do so into my coat or jacket, if necessary) not hands.
I developed a sore throat and swollen glands a couple of weeks ago, and credit Cold-eze chew melts for a 24 hour resolution of those symptoms and fever.
Wash your hands!
Don't touch your face!
Wash your hands!
Keep hydrated.
Stay well, all you dear L-dotters!

The flu shot works as well as the Cononavirus shot, so governments should require it as a condition to employment, and to attending schools and entering public venues.
