ChicagoI – The Jussie Smollett saga has come to an end – for now.
A Chicago judge sentenced the fallen star to 150 days in jail and 30 months of probation Thursday for lying to police more than three years after he asked two men to “fake beat him up” and shout racist and homophobic slurs at him in an elaborate scheme to raise his public profile.
The actor then told the court angrily: “I am innocent. . . I did not do this.” Smollett, 39, was convicted of five counts of felony disorderly conduct and acquitted of a sixth following his eight-day trial late last year.
The raps carry

His sentence should be exactly what the non existent perps would have received.

5 years for the hate crime
1 year for denying it.
30 days for having a stupid name like "Jussie" that looks like it was a typo on his birth cirt.

Now if we could only punish the leftist news outlets that humiliated themselves by falling for this obvious hoax.

The surveillance have already failed.
To start a race War? I doubt it. I'm more inclined to believe he staged the hoax for publicity.
i.e. He would be a victim too. Everyone would know who he was. Better roles and opportunities would follow.

We can only hope that one day, when he’s least expecting it,
he’ll get what’s coming to him.

Shouldn’t he also pay court expenses, etc.? This is not a victimless crime insofar as taxpayers wind up paying for investigations, court personnel, lawyers, etc.

Not enough. He was trying to start a race war. The ramifications could have been severe.

Jussie Smollett is an ass in four versions: a horse’s ass, a jackass, a dumbass and a plain old ass. He is a sort of ass-genius as his thespian antics have brought asininity to a new farm animal, the pig ass, better known as a ham. It is long past time for the sane members of the black community to openly disdain frauds like Smollett or they are abetting such stuff and nonsense in their names.

He should also pay all costs of the investigation, local, state, and federal, which no doubt were excessive, given the "seriousness" of the clown's allegations.

The only hate crime committed in this case is Smollett hating himself. What a damn fool!

Juicy thought he’d get the OJ treatment: acquittal because he’s a black celebrity—quasi celebrity in Juicy’s case. He also deluded himself that he was untouchable due to his victimhood status as both a black AND homosexual on the left’s “intersectional” totem pole.
Not sure about his reaction to the judge after sentencing (dragged away in a panic from the courtroom). Prison general population will happily cater to his…lust for male flesh.

150 days!! That's 5 months of which he'll probably do two, maybe 2-1/2 tops. Our judicial system is corrupt and broken beyond repair.

he's only going to jail, he deserves to be in the state prison where he'll have an abundance of "friends" to pal around with on a daily basis and he'll see muscles in places where no man has ever developed such "muscles"
