A signal Democrats could be facing a massive wave

If the election were held today, Democrats would not only lose control of the House, but suffer massive losses in their ranks. That's the conclusion that should be drawn from new ABC News/Washington Post polling that shows a generic Republican candidate leading a generic Democratic one by a 49% to 42% margin among registered voters nationally. (That gap expands to 13 points when you limit the sample to registered voters who say they are "certain" to vote.) That's known as the generic ballot test. For decades, it's been a reliable weathervane as to which way -- and how hard -- the partisan winds are blowing.

This Cillizza is one of the most partisan hacks at CNN. If he thinks that things are going against Dems, that's good news. Let's not get complacent, though. Too many RINOs around, and they'll talk a good game prior to elections, but then roll over and play dead in Congress.

The MSM demoslut cheerleaders keep sounding the alarm, but the Marxist/demosluts keep marching in the same old direction. Admitting they are wrong is just not in their DNA. It's part of being a leftist. Their we're so superior attitude is going to bite them in the rear in November, but they still won't learn because the ideas of the left are a religion not political party and power is all they seek.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court took over redistricting for their dimocrat friends, created a new district near Pittsburgh to lean far left, and the dimocrat congressman won't run for reelection. The polls here must be really bad for dimocrats. The Court did create a fighting to the death for two republican incumbents jammed into one district. Republicans are appealing the outcome, so we shall see what Roberts does.

When voters are no longer using Dominion or anything other than pen and paper ballots, and when we have a DAY for voting, then I will get excited about conservatives winning some races. Until then, I don't think will happen and they are just trying to get us to let our guards down. IOW, they are peeing on our legs and telling us it is raining.

Nothing has changed voting wise since Nov 2020, so I expect the Crats will cheat their way to victory in the House and Senate this coming November. Who or what will stop them?

Much has been written about President Biden’s surreal State of the Union address, but the commentariat has studiously ignored the real problem with the speech. The trouble with this unnerving oration isn’t that much of it was fiction or that it revealed a vision of the nation that isn’t shared by most Americans. Its scariest feature is that it was filled with semi-coherent gibberish delivered by a man who is cognitively impaired and obviously unfit to carry out the duties of his office. If Biden were your father, you would relieve him of his car keys, yet he possesses the authority to launch a thermonuclear strike

A Western intelligence report shows signs that senior officials in China has at least some level of knowledge regarding Russia’s plans to invade Ukraine before it began last week, senior Biden administration officials and a European official told The New York Times.President Vladimir Putin had met with President Xi Jinping on February 4, shortly before the opening ceremony of the games. "Moscow and Beijing issued a 5,000-word statement at the time declaring that their partnership had 'no limits,' denouncing NATO enlargement and asserting that they would establish a new global order with true 'democracy,'" The New York Times reported.

President Biden will give his first State of the Union address Tuesday night, marking the most consequential speech of his lifetime as U.S. inflation soars and Eastern Europe devolves into war. While State of the Union speeches tend to concentrate on domestic issues, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to launch a full-fledged invasion of Ukraine despite Biden’s repeated threats of economic sanctions has brought the U.S. president’s foreign policy agenda into central focus.Putin ordered his nuclear forces on high alert Sunday after the U.S. and other Western nations announced that they would remove selected Russian banks from the SWIFT international financial messaging system.

Is Zelensky Ukraine's George Washington? 18 replies

Over the last 30 years, many Ukrainians have asked when their nation will finally get its George Washington, a leader who can rally the people and lead it to victory. I’ve usually told Ukrainian interlocutors that Washington wasn’t born a great man; he became one because of the trials of the Revolutionary War, when he demonstrated his ability to lead and to symbolize the American struggle. A Ukrainian Washington might emerge in a similar manner, and now perhaps he has. Ukrainians’ question may have been answered by an unlikely candidate for the hero role: Volodymyr Zelensky, a comedian-turned-president, who many analysts — including me — considered would be disastrous for the country.

Recently, after meeting with congressional Democrats, the United States Capitol Police initiated “extra security” precautions for Tuesday’s State of the Union address. The USCP is coordinating with the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police, the United States Park Police, the Secret Service and the National Guard. Included in their preparations is the construction of a 7-foot fence around the Capitol building and the deployment of 50 tactical military vehicles. The purported need for all this security involves “The People’s Convoy,” a procession of truckers crossing the country to protest the ongoing use of COVID-19 as a pretext for restricting American civil liberties.

There is always a tweet, so says the online aphorism, developed during the chaotic Trump years, that now seems to hold true across administrations and perhaps even with increased significance after a Russian strongman decided to invade an eastern European neighbor over the holiday weekend. The Russian in question is Vladimir Putin. The country invaded, Ukraine, or more specifically the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics that Russia recently recognized diplomatically. And the tweet, well, that came from Joe Biden. It was sent February 21, 2020, and Biden, or someone on the Biden campaign, wrote: “Vladimir Putin doesn’t want me to be President. States around the nation, including Democratic ones such as New York and California, are lifting indoor mask mandates. But the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention refuses to budge. It continues to recommend indoor masking in communities with substantial or high transmission — essentially the entire country — a stance that is particularly exasperating and harmful in regards to schools. The agency recommends masking all students ages 2 and older. In congressional testimony, CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky insisted that school mask mandates continue. The following day, at a White House briefing, Walensky, after acknowledging rapidly falling COVID cases, hospitalizations and deaths, said the agency would reconsider its guidelines,

Why Can Children No Longer Hold Their

In recent years, a number of parents and grandparents have discovered an alarming trend: children no longer know how to write in cursive. Such a discovery led to a considerable backlash against programs such as Common Core, which many viewed as the culprit squeezing out cursive instruction. Thanks to increased attention on the subject, many states have implemented laws mandating that cursive be taught in school. But what happens when children begin to learn cursive and can’t hold their pencil properly? Amazingly, this is the growing reality in a number of countries. The Guardian explains:

House Republicans introduced the “American Independence from Russian Energy Act” on Feb. 28, a measure meant to authorize the Keystone XL pipeline, boost domestic oil and gas production, and prevent President Joe Biden’s executive branch agencies from halting energy leasing on federal land and water, among other provisions. Yet on March 1, the legislation was shot down in a 221–202 vote, almost entirely along partisan lines. “Getting our pipelines expanded is huge,” Rep.
