Justice correspondent for The Nation, Elie Mystal, said Thursday morning the U.S. should throw out the Constitution for something “more inclusive.”While speaking on Pix 11, Mystal explained how he believes the Constitution does not guarantee equal rights for everyone.“Now in your book, ‘Allow Me To Retort,’ you reframe politics and the Constitution by kind of breaking down how it all impacts voting rights, LGBTQ rights, abortion rights, the list goes on and on. So, are you arguing that the Constitution needs to be scrapped altogether?” the host asked.(Tweet/Video) “Sure,” a laughing Mystal responded.

People tend to see what they want to see, not an attribute if one is supposed to be a "reporter".
Instead of reading stuff into the Constitution, Mystal should start in the mirror and figure out how things went so wrong. Black fragility writ large.

The Constitution includes 332 million people, that seems inclusive enough. Anyone not satisfied with it is free to go elsewhere to their liking. In regard to equal rights, maybe the interviewers should have asked Mystal to differentiate the treatment between the J6 patriots and the Summer of 2020 rioters.

Seems to me that it would be a lot easier if Elie just moved to a country more to his liking. How about Zimbabwe?

once again, the demlibcommies got it all wrong and Mr. Mystrial is a shining example of the stupidity that pervades the demcommie movement - in any organized society, the majority rules and makes the decisions and the minority accedes and accepts the rule of the majority that is, if that society is fundamentally organized upon a sound basis of structure, which is what has been shown in the United States for past 246 years to be a sound political / societal structure -"if it ain't broke, don't fix it", as the old saying goes

I have a better idea. Since they were brought here against their will how about we ship all the blacks who hate America back to their roots. We can apologize as we load them on the airplanes to Africa. They will like it there...no constitutions to get in the “Big Mon’s way.

Idiots and haters, too stupid, disinformed and blinded by hate to grasp what is there.
The Constitution is probably the finest document written by humans, ever.

Hey, you don't like the Constitution of the USA, you have every right to try to change it. The Constitution allows for that and has the mechanism for accomplishing it.
Go ahead and spout off all your radical lie-beral agenda, and see how fast you can get the general public behind you. Just a hint, the answer is "never".
If you hate the Constitution of the USA, there are plenty of countries out there that are much closer to the lie-beral Utopias you are dreaming of. Just go to one of them (I would suggest North Korea), renounce your US citizenship, and live in the "paradise" you dream of. But, be warned, it's going to be much more of a nightmare!!!

As long as we can have a Constitutional Convention of the States, eliminating all of the amendments and putting the essence of the meaningful amendments, like the 1st and 2nd, up front and center, yet strengthened with regard to the citizen's right of self defense and the free worship of God, using carefully crafted plain language that doesn't require nine robed partisans to interpret, that would be fine. New, specific language on free speech and immigration, especially illegal immigration would be nice, as well. In other words cleaning up the gray areas that have been subjected to manipulation by political judges would be great. If we're going to open a can or worms in re-writing a Constitution, then let's be sure that we tidy up individual and state's rights and be ultra clear about what the federal government is prohibited form doing. I think keeping the Framer's intent is important, as they created template for the greatest country on the planet. If any state refused to go along, then leave them out of the new, re-constituted United States. They can be either neighbors or enemies.

What this "person" is really saying is that he/she/it hates God Who is behind the Constitution when it was written. Men of God prayed for divine guidance when they wrote all of the founding documents. All of these attacks are spiritual and from the father of all lies, the devil, the hater of all that's good and decent.

This tool will never understand that piece of parchment is the only thing keeping him free. Imagine a world without the USA, ever. Does anyone think E lie Mystal would have a job or even be alive? Someone this stupid and arrogant would not last long in harder societies and harsher times.

Fools such as this person simply cannot see that the reason America is rich, powerful, and the home of liberty is the Constitution. They refuse to see that if we scrap the Constitution, the wealth, the power, and freedom go by the wayside to be replaced by God only knows what horror.

We created a country in the west coast of Africa long ago, specifically for these unhappy blacks. I hear Liberia, long run by free Africans of her type is a real heaven on earth.
Oh - wait, that was Hell on earth. My bad.
