On Feb. 17, attorneys for Michael Sussmann, the former attorney for the Hillary Clinton campaign, filed a motion to dismiss the criminal case pending against him in the D.C. district court. Special Counsel John Durham charged Sussmann in September 2021, in a one-count indictment, with lying to former FBI General Counsel James Baker(snip)
the indictment charged that when Sussmann met with Baker on September 19, 2016, and provided him “white papers” and data files purporting to show the Trump organization had established a secret communications channel with the Russia-connected Alfa Bank, Sussmann falsely claimed he was not acting on behalf of a client.

According to the left, it's always OK when they lie.

Imagine that, an officer of the court is allowed to lie to law enforcement. Sussman and his lawyers should be disbarred.

No, it's not OK. LOTS of other people have gone to prison for this. Put this puke in prison, too.

Personally, there shouldn't be a law making it an offense to lie to LE. As we have seen, such laws are selectively enforced against the non-demo-commies, and you aren't under oath, anyway. What's so special about them? Of course, you should never talk to LE, ever, if they stop you or show up on your doorstep. As a wise lawyer once said, "I've never had a client talk himself into prison by keeping his mouth shut."

He didn't just lie to the FBI. He lied for the purposes of initiating a federal investigation against a sitting POTUS on false pretenses for purposes of ousting that POTUS.
It is literally a conspiracy to harm a US President.

Notice the distancing has already begun! Why, the crook isn't Hillary! And it's not her attorney, either! It's the CAMPAIGN attorney. And of course, neither Hillary nor her attorney have any idea what that's about.

So Michael, if it did not matter that you were working for Hillary, why did you think it necessary to say you were not representing anyone, when the FBI asked?

I bet Michael Flynn would beg to differ. Folks, our gvt. is absolutely full of career left-wingers people who think the law is whatever they say it is, not what the law actually is. Our whole gvt needs an ENEMA.

Is there an honest judge left in this country who isn’t afraid to apply the law in a fair manner regardless of who the involved parties are.

Sussman’s lawyers are grasping at straws hoping for a liberal lawyer. It’s clear what Sussman’s objectives were and the lying charge may be the tip of the iceberg. His lawyers know this. Durham is not throwing out frivolous accusations.

I'm not a lawyer, just a self taught 'mere arbitrator' but Sussman's arguments stink.
I also believe that there will be superseding indictments, tying Sussman to other actors in the criminal conspiracy to obstruct justice.
It should be fun to watch. And I am waiting for the putrid Podesta names to show up, along with the name of the dead Seth Rich.
( a girl federal district court judge gave me that label, mere arbitrator, when she injected herself into a set of complicated sexual discrimination cases in a county prison.
I resolved the matters, after making fun of the girl judge in my award. It felt good. to do that.

Nothing new here. I remember when the enemedia had a serious discussion about whether or not Bill Clinton should tell the truth when he went before the grand jury in the Lewinsky affair.
Of course, he lied. And of course, ultimately he got away with it.

Lying in this case is perfectly fine because the FBI is a gaggle of crooks too, so Sussmann's lawyers are correct. This, lied under oath, is hogwash it means nothing anymore.

In many countries justice and the law are distant cousins, but here, they're not even on speaking terms. (That's a quote from some movie by somebody.) Justice is hard to come by when governance is in the hands of unelected bureaucrats who are fully supported by state media.

The FBI is just as crooked as everybody involved with the Clinton campaign so what difference does it make? Liars lying to liars. Comey lied, Wrey lied. Struck and Stroke lied.

Let's ask Martha Stewart about that shall we? She went to prison in large part due to the dodgy testimony of an FBI agent playing to the jury.

Michael Sussmann Lied To The FBI because Democrats are allowed to lie without consequences. They know "republicans" like Mitch McConnell will do and say nothing. As long as there are "republicans" like Mitch it is OK to lie to the FIB.
