The other thing hard to believe is Pat Sajak is 75 years old. He looks 50.

so does this mean they don't have the money to cover the winnings?

Agree! #1. He's amazingly youthful...and funny! And doesn't Vanna look even better than she did in the 80/90s? Proves that being good people, enjoying what they do, and bringing decades of enjoyment to the public adds years to one's life. We look forward to Wheel nightly.

Interesting piece of trivia: Vanna White first appeared on television in 1980 as a contestant on "The Price Is right." $100,000 in winnings? She makes twice that in a day, during the one day a week the show is taped. Throw ME in that briar patch!

Methinks the producers have placed more than one $100,000 envelope on the bonus wheel. Maybe to garner some publicity? Watch it happen again tonight.

I don't watch the show, just see stories about Pat and Vanna occasionally. But the trend leads me to believe he's becoming unglued.

Saw it last night. Guessing he left the stage because he was about to say something regrettable or cause a blooper. He was back later to finish the episode. Three 100k winners in a row. Perhaps the odds are catching up to them.

I've found that the odds against the final contestants were so high as to make watching the show a waste of time.

We missed this week's excitement on Wheel. Our DVR has been recording Jesse Watter's new show on Fox instead since they overlap. (I know, we DVR Wheel ... don't judge).
Maybe they are seeing folks shift to Jesse's show and want to make things more exciting to get them to come back :)

The odds aren't all that low over a long period of time. There are 24 bonus wheel slots. 24x24x24 = 13824. So naive statistics says 1 in 13824 odds. Run a show for a few decades and unlikely but possible things will happen.
I say naive because the math doesn't really work that way but it's good enough for an L.com post :-)

Wheel of Fortune is the only game show I'll watch. With the death of Alex Trebek and that racist idiot Steve Harvey on Family Feud W of F is it for me as everything else stinks

Years ago, I saw a video of Vanna at a public appearance where a practical joke, designed to cause frustration, was played on her. She was as cool as can be.

#15 is right. The odds of this happening are slim, but after a gazillion episodes, it's entirely feasible. it's also feasible that it was a stunt to boost ratings.

I don’t watch Family Fued, but have seen clips of him preaching Gods Word. I’ve also heard a story of his contact with FF, and he demanded he do his own audience show warmup where he gives his testimony or talks about his relationship with God. That Steve Harvey is racist seems incorrect to me.
