“Thursday’s primetime coverage of the Beijing Winter Olympics averaged 7.25 million viewers on NBC, marking the smallest primetime Olympic audience ever on the network,” reports Sports Media Watch. “The previous low was 8.5 million for the final night of competition at last year’s Tokyo Summer Olympics.”That’s a 55 percent drop from four years ago when 16 million tuned into the opening night coverage of the 2018 Winter Games in South Korea. That’s also down a whopping 64 percent from the 2014 Summer Games. (Tweet) These numbers are beyond a catastrophe, especially after NBC’s Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo last year also earned record low ratings.

These clowns still don’t get that the American people are either paying attention or waking up to what’s happening around them. They are searching out alternatives to the lying MSM and figuring out how hosed they are and starting to fight back. I am so encouraged by Ottawa, by my friends who have been shocked by the light of truth and are angry, by all the people who are fed the hell up.

I honestly don't care about any athelete who would even go to China to compete.
I did watch the run ups to the games as those many others gave their best in a fail competition.

NBC bought a dying pig in a poke. The Olympics are toast in 20 years. No one cares without rivals. With the demise of the Soviet Union, there are no more bad guys to boo hiss. And don’t dare chant U-S-A…

The NFL playoffs showed that Americans still have a taste for sport that is more powerful than their aversion to the celebration of evil ideologies. The viewing in not down due to China. It is down due to the incessantly insipid commentary. NBC keeps trying to engineer an experience in reverse. Rather than let the drama of competition stir emotion, they try to start with the emotion. It doesn't work. It has the feel of just more propaganda from fake media.

And NBC says Days Of Our Lives has the highest ratings in a long time. Don't hate me, I've watched for 40 years. Anyway, the show sucks. Everyone commenting hates the storylines but we are to believe it's ratings are higher than it's been in decades. My point? I think the ratings count depends on who's doing the counting. I don't believe the number on the Olympics any more than I do for Days.

I'm not watching it either. I've read stories about how the TV ratings have been in decline for the last several Olympics, but the opening night ceremonies were slightly over 7MM, which is pretty terrible. Maybe the IOC will hold a meeting after the games are over and fire the people responsible for picking Bejing. It IS, after all, about MAKING MONEY, and the sponsors will pull their commercials if no is watching while MSNBC charges a pretty penny. Its like the tree falling in the woods-will it make a sound if no one is there? If no one watches the Olympics, did it actually happen?

Full disclosure:
I watched 2 secs of the opening. I then turned in to the luge, skeleton events for 2 mins (maybe).
The FEEL of the event was Twilight Zone. Around one curve, an automaton People’s Observer stood perfectly still, in the required mask and uniform and did not turn his/her (their?) head when the sled went by. It was surreal.
I checked the schedule for short-track speed skating. But I’ll probably cancel. This event is too mechanical, Red Army-like.
Olympics? What Olympics….

I watched the season 1 finale of Resident Alien, On Demand last night. Was much more entertaining than watching the ChiCom show.

I cannot bear NBC coverage. You will see a lot of ads, a lot of talking by announcers, a lot of shots, everything but the field of action.

I currently have DISH. My local NBC channel, 12 KPNX has been nonexistent for approx 2-3 months, can't remember specifics. During a call to DISH requesting a reimbursement, was told they were in negotiations with their provider, whatever that means.
Guess what reappeared once the genocide games began? The 2022 Super Spreader Olympics

Well, I didn't watch. As one essayist said:
"If you can bribe the Olympic Committee to put the Olympics in your totalitarian country, who would believe it is impossible to bribe the judges to have your totalitarian country's athletes win?"
Yep. Likely crooked judges, too. No reason to watch.

I started losing interest in the Olympics years ago when NBC turned it into a liberal cry-fest with the "human interest" emphasis on certain athletes that had nothing to do with their talent. They started cutting away from events if it looked like the US wasn't going to win. Forget any coverage of the more obscure sports.
When the liberal athletes started using the games to bash the US, I stopped altogether and realized I watched so little, I wasn't missing anything.
Good news, though! NBC charged obscene advertising rates based on a guaranteed minimum number of viewers. They will lose a fortune on refunds!

All I have seen about the Olympics is women being advertised as the only competitors at the Games. Guess that is super duper but I don't find the women events to be as exciting as the men's events (back when men were allowed to compete). Now if they had an Olpics were Men got to compete, they might get a few more men to watch.

We are doing our fair share of keeping those ratings down.
I stopped watching the Olympics about the same time I stopped watching the NFL. Lie-beralism destroys everything it touches, and when both the Olympics and the NFL got to "woke" and political, they lost our family forever!!!
Which is really sad, because I can remember how much I used to enjoy the Olympics. Never again!!!
