DANVILLE, Pa. — Residents of a Pennsylvania county were warned Saturday not to approach a monkey that was missing after a crash involving a pickup that was towing a trailer taking about 100 of the animals to a lab. State troopers urged people not to look for or capture the cynomolgus monkey following the Friday afternoon crash on a state highway near an Interstate 80 exit in Montour County. “Anyone who sees or locates the monkey is asked not to approach, attempt to catch, or come in contact with the monkey. Please call 911 immediately,” troopers tweeted. Several monkeys escaped

Comments:

The poor thing probably froze to death by now. But I expect monkey sightings to go on for years.

This has a Hollywood storyline written all over it. Planet of the Apes Meet Spider Man, or something like that. Starring Anthony Fauci as the Mad Scientist. I wonder if Disney or Netfilx would be interested.

I'm thinking there is a connection between the U.S. lab with smallpox and this truck load of monkeys. I read somewhere that they were about two hours away from the lab. I think it is time for the FDA to set all labs working on dangerous viruses ablaze. https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2004/10/monkeys-serve-first-animal-model-smallpox

Since affirmative action has been promoted for several decades now, how can we possibly trust the average lab worker, nuclear plant maintenance person, or even pilot to be the best person for the job? Any monkey is dangerous to approach or try to catch but what makes these monkey so dangerous? Wuhan anyone? Maybe they were simply on their way to another Fauci funded cruelty farm? They will probably not survive long in the weather but are they more, or less dangerous if they are found dead?

Sorry for the second post but the link in #4's post is frightening and another lab "mishap" is all to believable given what we have suffered these past two years. If you read that article, written in 2004, note this quote "This new research fills in some of the gaps in our understanding of smallpox," NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, MD, said in the news release. "Now we are better positioned to speed the development of protective measures." Blood running cold yet?

A Pa. woman first on the scene of last week’s lab monkey truck crash near Danville is now the center of online conspiracy theories after falling ill. The Daily Mail reports the woman, Michele Fallon who lives near Danville, Pa., is now suffering symptoms after one of the cynomolgus macaque monkeys “hissed” in her face. On her Facebook page and in interviews, Fallon said she suddenly developed a cough, runny nose and pink-eye the day following the accident. After more than a year in office, President Joe Biden has still not nominated someone to be the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine. The leadership gap has been highlighted amid growing concerns of a Russian invasion of the U.S. ally, but experts told Newsweek that not having a Senate-confirmed ambassador is more of a perception issue than a significant problem for the administration. "Of course, we all agree there should be a full-time diplomat," said Rajan Menon, the director of the grand strategy program at Defense Priorities, a think tank focused on U.S. security. NEW YORK -- The city is taking measures to protect dogs at a Brooklyn park after residents said they suspect rats are spreading a disease there that killed several dogs. City Councilmember Lincoln Restler sounded the alarm this week after his office received reports that multiple dogs had died after visiting the McCarren Park Dog Run in Williamsburg. The dogs had symptoms associated with leptospirosis, a bacterial disease spread through the urine of infected animals like rats. Restler said dogs can catch leptospirosis if they drink from puddles rats urinated in. Restler told the Daily News on Thursday that he was

Build up or pay up. That is the message Massachusetts is sending to 175 cities and suburbs in the Boston area, as a bill passed last year to boost housing production begins to take effect. Almost every jurisdiction in Eastern Massachusetts, from the New Hampshire border to Worcester to the Cape Cod Canal, will have to do its part zoning for 344,000 new units of as-of-right multifamily housing—or lose access to some state grant programs. That mean allowing apartments in many tony subdivisions currently reserved for single-family homes. For perspective, all of Massachusetts currently builds just 15,000 new units

People who harass or bully others do so in order to validate to themselves that they are somebody. They learned this behavior from role models in their environment. Most often, they were harassed or bullied during their childhood or adolescence and they act out their hurt and frustration by treating others the way they were treated. It is a defence mechanism. “I will put you in your place and show my power over you, before you do the same to me,” is the unconscious thought process behind bullying. By doing this, the bully, in fact, feels safe.
