Republican Governor Glenn Younkin might finally be at the helm of the previously screwed-up, Virginia ship of state, but at least one public high school is openly defying one of the new governor’s executive orders by “asking” high school students to play a sick game called “privilege bingo.” Shocked? Me, neither. As reported by The Federalist, Oakton High School, which is part of Fairfax County Public Schools, pretty much demanded that students participate in the “game,” which singles out kids based on characteristics of their race and family life — “privileges,” as it were — in defiance of Youngkin’s order banning “inherently divisive concepts” from Virginia’s public education curriculums.

Looks like it's time for Younkin and the AG to put some teeth in their policies and either send some people packing or cut off funds from Fairfax County Schools!

Having parents who make sure they do their homework, help them with their homework, encourage them to make good grades, and come to school on time, well-dressed and well-fed is not doubt considered to be ''privilege''.

They had this on the Five yesterday and Gutfeld went off. Leftists are sick sick people and they should not be allowed to teach in the schools. Parents need to understand that their kids belong to them not the Gov't. Pull your kids out of the public schools. There are scholarships available to help supplement tuition costs at Catholic Schools. Parents need to take this seriously. The schools are damaging kids and that damage will ingrained in them forever. This is very serious.

They can take their white privilege and go pound sand. I overcame my challenges and started getting an education. Of course, I could not afford a university so I stayed within my means. I attended a community college and went on from there. Privilege you say? By 1995, I was working for a company where a "minority" woman was my supervisor and the same for the manager. Too many people are buying into this white privilege mantra.

Lets see. I'm male, white, was raised by both parents who loved me, was never arrested or addicted to drugs, had a better than average IQ, we weren't rich but were never hungry either. I never produced any kids before I was married. Gee, I should be running the world with all this privilege. But I'm not. Why not?
Could it be that my choices in life have far more to do with success than some artificial privilege?

Oh, yeah. Those military kids certainly are privileged. Privileged to have a parent who can be sent off for months at a time, possibly to die, in some third world shiitehole for meager pay.

Best thing Youngkin could do is to enable parents to start cleaning out the rot in their school districts. Gonna take a lot of hard work and won't happen overnight. But it sure needs to be done.

My oldest daughter attended Oakton HS when I was on an extended detail to FAA HQ during Bill Clinton's last year in office. Even though Fairfax County had yet to go full commie, Oakton was already an overtly left-leaning school, which I thought was rather ironic due to the overwhelming number of students from highly affluent families. Let's just say that the school's football and basketball teams didn't do so well. One of my daughter's friends had gotten a brand new VW Beetle for her birthday but was taunted by the kids who drove, BMWs, MBs, etc. Parking lot snobbery at a leftist school never seemed to make much sense at the time.

Does being a rare exotic beauty count as a privilege? That's a good one to use. Or you could say, your gift of pickpocketing is a privilege. And if you are a "kiss-up" you could say, "Just being in this school is a privilege".
