In August, Germany's top newspaper, Bild, apologized for the outlet's fear-driven Covid coverage--with special message to children, who were told "that they were going to murder their grandma." Now, a newspaper in Denmark has publicly apologized for reporting government narratives surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic without questioning them. "We failed," reads the article's headline from tabloid Ekstra Bladet, which goes on to admit that "For ALMOST two years, we--the press and the population--have been almost hypnotically preoccupied with the authorities' daily coronavirus figures." [translated] (Snip) Will other news outlets have the journalistic integrity to follow suit?

Iran’s imposition of “sanctions” on dozens of Americans amounts to an assassination threat against members of former President Donald Trump’s administration, according to a senior U.S. official who threatened “severe consequences” for any harm done to them. “Make no mistake: the United States of America will protect and defend its citizens,” White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Sunday. “This includes those serving the United States now and those who formerly served.” Iranian officials have made explicit their interest in killing one of the people involved in the U.S. strike that killed Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

Iran has vowed ‘revenge’ if former U.S. President Donald Trump and ex-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo are not put on trial for the 2020 drone strike that killed its top terrorist operative Qassem Soleimani. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi demanded the former U.S. president face judgment according to Islamic law and called upon all Muslims to avenge Soleimani’s killing. “Trump must face ‘God’s ruling’ and suffer ‘qisas’, which is the Islamic term for retaliation in kind,” Al Jazeera reported citing the Iranian president’s televised speech that marked Soleimani’s second death anniversary.

Members of our military pledge their loyalty to the Constitution. Its First Amendment guarantees freedom of religion. So, it would be perverse to force men and women in uniform to abandon their deeply held religious beliefs to serve their country. Yet that’s what’s happening regarding the COVID-19 vaccine mandates--for which the normal rules seem not to apply.(Snip)But whatever your view, this is clearly an ethical and theological dispute. The military is denying requests for religious exemptions because ill-informed officials disagree with the theological views of service members under their command.

As we get closer to the two-year mark of “two weeks to flatten the curve,” it is evident that the panic-driven policies issued by “experts” and promoted by the establishment media have a wide array of very damaging, unintended consequences. One group that has been collateral damage in this “war on COVID” has been school-age children. Teachers demanded school lockdown and remote learning.(Snip)Inevitably, this pandemic will end. When the damage is assessed, those who pressed for the closure of schools (including those in the media) should face a very harsh set of consequences themselves.

ALBERTA, Canada – This time last year I wrote about how lockdowns enacted by government overlords should not get in the way of spending time with your family.(Snip)Lockdowns it seems always come before one of the holiest times of the year, that being Christmas and Easter.(Snip) Our faith leaders along with the Vatican itself have used the language that taking the abortion tainted COVID shots somehow amounts to loving one’s neighbour.(Snip)Jesus did not discriminate when he tended to the sick, the sinners, the outcast, the destitute. He was not afraid, and that is the example we all must follow.

Jim Jordan doth protest too much.(Snip) Jordan is quite familiar with weaponizing congressional investigations to go after those he considers his enemies...(Snip)Jordan and most of his fellow Republicans seem desperate to keep under wraps what Trump and his allies were up to as democracy itself was under attack. That’s why they opposed even creating the Jan. 6 committee. That’s why they’re braying about executive privilege and painting Meadows as a victim of vengeful Democrats. That’s why they’re downplaying the severity of the attack, dismissing it as a tourist visit or “one day in January,” as former Vice President Mike Pence put it.

The “Select Committee” of Democrats and two “Republicans” to investigate the January 6 riot is an abuse of power but typical for how efficient Democrats are at weaponizing their congressional power. Mark Meadows, former Trump Chief of Staff, has been held in contempt by the Democrat-controlled House for failing to turnover all documents subpoeanaed by the Committee, sending a referral for prosecution.(Snip)The politically corrupted DOJ likely will oblige under the unfit rule of Merrick Garland.(Snip)
But it’s not just about overbreadth of the subpoena. Meadows challenges the validity of the committee as constituted by Pelosi.

COLUMBUS - Gov. Mike DeWine will have his veto pen ready if the legislature sends him a bill that would prohibit employers and schools from mandating the COVID-19 vaccine. House Bill 218, in addition to prohibiting mandates on vaccines not fully approved by the federal government, would provide wide exemptions for fully approved vaccines. The Republican, during a year-end interview with “The State of Ohio” public television show, said he’d “absolutely” veto the bill. “Oh, absolutely. I’ve made it very clear I don’t hesitate to veto things when I think they’re wrong. I have respect for the legislature, but I also have a job

Facing serious staffing shortages, some of the largest and most prominent hospital systems in the United States, including HCA Healthcare Inc., Tenet Healthcare Corp., AdventHealth, and Cleveland Clinic have been forced to backpedal on their COVID-19 jab mandates in hopes of retaining crucial employees, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.(Snip)The staggering percentage of healthcare workers who have refused to comply with the jab requirements imposed by their hospital systems--many of whom are vitally necessary nursing personnel--could have a crippling effect on America’s hospitals if the establishments move to fire all noncompliant workers.

OBERLIN — Invoking the names of George Floyd and other Black people killed by police, Oberlin College has announced it will create a Center for Race, Equity and Inclusion. “This new center will ensure that Oberlin is consistently contributing to the national conversation on race,” President Carmen Twillie Ambar said in a Wednesday announcement. “The center will bring together academic opportunities, co-curricular experiences, career programming, mentorship, community building and civic engagement.” (Snip) The presidential initiative has generated $1.3 million in giving to Oberlin College. Pro-LGBT talk show host Dr. Mehmet Oz announced his candidacy for a hotly-contested Senate seat in Pennsylvania next year, running as a Republican despite a history of transgender activism and support for other liberal causes.(Snip)In a tweet unearthed by conservative commentator Jack Posobiec, Oz endorsed theories of “systemic racism.” And though he has largely framed his Senate bid around fighting lockdowns and COVID mandates, Dr. Oz once accosted fellow talk show host Wendy Williams for choosing not to get an experimental coronavirus jab.
