Speaker Nancy Pelosi may have been the mastermind of the partisan Jan. 6 committee, which is comprised of anti-Trump Democrats and fledgling Republicans. But far from seeking to give Americans the “whole truth and nothing but the truth” about what happened during the Capitol riots on that date one year ago, she and her committee appear to be acting as “gatekeepers” who release only the information that conforms to a pre-existing narrative of events.House Republicans have once again issued a set of demands for Pelosi to answer for the unusual set of circumstances that preceded the Capitol riots.“In a new letter to Pelosi, Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL) outlined steps

Fledgling Republicans, really? Fledgling means apprentice, babe, beginner, colt, cub, freshman, greenhorn. That description does not apply to Cheney or Kidzinger. A more accurate description of these two would be vindictive which means having a strong desire for revenge. I would add to that traitor with unresolved bitterness and tack on menopausal rage in the case of Cheney. There is nothing worse than having a traitor in your midst especially now when it is of the upmost importance to present a united front. Shame on McCarthy for doing nothing to punish these two. Remember, he vowed to remove Cheney from her committee memberships a few months ago. I guess he forgot about that. Can anyone tell me how McCarthy or McConnell have been helpful in the least this past year to disrupt the democrats toxic agenda? He should be out there everyday fighting for what is right, but I am unsure if he even recognizes right and the peril he and McConnell have put this country in by their knuckleheaded ambivalence.

Note to Liz: the alternative to modern Patriotism is anarchy and fascism. Period. You endorse the latter by your vindictive behavior, and we call you out.

In reply to No. 3; She, Pelosi, is an extremely corrupt seat holder within the House. Do it her way or not at all. And any weakling dem that has been going along with her tyrannical power should also be removed.
This is just another great example as to why TERM LIMITS should be installed now and not later, and should be retroactive to the present members of the House and to the Senate.
And while I'm at it, we do need a 'None of the Above' vote becoming a valid vote where if 'None of the Above' wins no one who was included in that vote could run again for ten years or more.

Britt Hume (Fox) asked Lzz Cheney about Pelosi not allowing the House Sgt at Arms to answer questions or release info related to the 1/6 investigation. Pelosi has made his office off limits. Cheney of course glossed over this but claimed to be going after all info related to Trump and his role. Cheney seems to want all info as long as it only points to her clearly stated goal of blaming Donald Trump.

Nanzi has far more culpability in this than Trump ever did, being that she is responsible for overseeing Capitol Security and USCP. Let's have an explanation why her officers were waving people into the Capitol and unlocking doors for them. Its all on video somewhere and being buried by the J6 Kabuki Committee.
Why did Nanzi refuse help from the DC National Guard, offered by Trump at least three times before J6? Why did one of her officers execute Ashli Babbitt? Why have none of the players seen on video encouraging violence, such as Ray Epps, ever been arrested? Why are people that were identified through video to be Antifa operatives never arrested? Why are people who face nothing but simple trespass languishing in the DC Gulag without trial or bail - especially when violent offenders are often bailed these days for no cash? Where is their speedy trial guaranteed by the USC? Why are no Republicans except MTG and a small handful even concerned about this unlawful detention without trial?

Re: Reply 6: To the requirements of Term Limits and None of the Above, we also need a mandatory retirement age on all political positions.
"None of the Above" we need badly to eliminate having to choose between the better of 2 bad candidates.

For all we know Pelosi may have planned the whole fiasco herself.
She and the FBI pulled it off together.
IMO that isn't far from the truth.

The Kalifornia witch is running this committee the same way that she ran the “investigation” into the Russia hoax and both of the impeachments. And thus, it has the same validity. Meaning none at all.

I say there’s far more honesty that’s needed from her and others in Congress. Has anyone noticed that no prominent Democrat has gotten seriously ill with Covid? Put on masks, yet party in Florida? Every single one of them is taking ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine as a prophylaxis, a preventative. Local nurses and medical staff where I am in Texas are. The very meds the FDA and CDC has outlawed, that’s incredibly cheap, they use by deny everyone else - instead pushing the jab. Ask your various Congress people, they’ll lie, but let them know you’re onto them.

If, in spite of the incessant and pervasive 1/6 campaign that started yesterday, we still manage to take the House in November, expect everything involving Pelosi and the riots to suddenly belong to DOJ and still be inaccessible. Democrats are always thinking ahead.

NOTHING happens on The Hill without the express approval of the Speaker and/or Senate Majority Leader. The Sergeants-at-Arms are appointed at the pleasure of each, and very well attuned to potential political implications. Any question that Pelosi and Schumer aren't deeply involved in the security of the Capitol, including police deployment plans, is ludicrous. The fact both Sergeants-at-Arms promptly resigned, as well as the Police Chief, underscores that fact...taking one-tow-three for the team.
Let's not forget that the Capitol is under the jurisdiction of the Legislative Branch. The National Guard, FBI and others are Executive Branch agancies with no standing on the Capitol campus without approval.

For comparison...All records, communications and deployment of security for election day and the following day should be also examined.
Remember DC and many other cities called in off duty officers, doubled shifts, had the Nat Guard on standby, and boarded up stores/offices and govt buildings in "Fear" of Riots and mayhem if TRUMP was declared the winner.
What role did Pelosi play in those preparations?.
If her/their defensive posture was MORE prepared, alert and hardened when the "Chatter" was coming from BLM/Antifa/Anti-Trump "radicals" in November it shows a clear acknowledgement that even THEY knew/know that it was/is the Revolutionary Left that poses a more "Clear and present Danger"

Pelosi has lost her mojo. Americans did not buy her fake little prayer vigil on the 6th. Take that position away from her before she does any more stupid stuff. We paid Congress for an entire day to call us insurrectionists, rioters and terrorists. That's a poor return on our tax dollars.

Great article. Final para is dynamite.
It is obvious that the event was going to be fraught with tension and potential confrontation. Even a secret FBI team with “shoot-to-kill” orders trained on January 3 for a possible Capitol insurrection. The question is: If they knew that riots and a potential Capitol siege were coming, why didn’t officials like Nancy Pelosi do more to heighten security and to potentially stop it?

If Trump has no Executive Privilege than neither does Nancy. Let's see her emails and text messages to the Capitol police chief and the mayor of D.C.!

She broke all the rules of setting up this committee by denying the two republicans that McCarthy wanted. Instead she chose her own republicans. That makes this committee illegal and she knows it. She is just hoping that enough people still don't get that.

Pelosi can continue to lie her fat butt off but the reality of January 6th is captured on film forever. The actual rioters were Antifa, FBI agitators and other radicals while the people arrested and charged were innocent of any wrongdoing except tresspassing and even that is doubtful given that they were welcomed into the building by the police. Lt. Michael Leroy Byrd is the only person who should be in jail for murder but he is one of Nancy's preferred little incompetent children.
