Ted Cruz has criticized the Biden administration after the president's Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted there was a difference between the number of children hospitalized 'with COVID' as opposed to 'because of COVID.' Fauci told MSNBC on Wednesday night: 'If a child goes into the hospital, they automatically get tested for COVID and they get counted as a COVID-hospitalized individual, when, in fact, they may go in for a broken leg or appendicitis or something like that.(Snip)Cruz responded with a tweet saying: 'Now Fauci says this? Is this because pandemic politics have changed for the Biden admin?'

Comments:

All we ask of the GOP is an occasional zinger on Twitter. This one was milder than most, though, but we'll take what we can get.

Did I hear that in case of elderly patient deaths, that if it's categorized as a 'covid' death the hospital gets an additional 20% reimbursement from medicare? And that's why covid deaths are way up, and flu deaths are way down?

Other doctors have mentioned that all the serious Wuhan flu cases for children are because of immune systems shut down by chemotherapy for cancer. Normal healthy children are not at risk from this virus.

What should be checked is hospitals counting as "unvaccinated" admissions who have been vaccinated outside their system, e.g. in another hospital system, at a provider, pharmacy, clinic, military etc. I have heard this is happening frequently so they get payments for vaxxing. It's also falsifying the truth in reinforcing the CDC line that this is a pandemic of the unvaxxed.

The same can be said of the number of deaths due to Covid. It's been estimated that of the 800,000 plus thousand reported to have died from Covid, only about six percent of those really died of the virus. The rest may had tested positive for Covid but died of other underling conditions. Obesity and heart conditions being the main reason for death.

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts says the federal judiciary needs to do more to ensure judges don't participate in cases where they have financial conflicts of interest. Roberts made the comments as part of his annual report on the federal judiciary released Friday evening. Roberts pointed to a series of stories recently in The Wall Street Journal that found that 'between 2010 and 2018, 131 federal judges participated in a total of 685 matters involving companies in which they or their families owned shares of stock.' Federal judges and Supreme Court justices are required under a federal ethics law to recuse themselves from cases where they have a personal

Paris—Hundreds of empty, parked cars go up in flames in France each New Year’s Eve, set afire by young revelers, a much lamented tradition that appeared in decline this year, which saw only 874 vehicles burned. The number of cars burned overnight has declined compared to New Year’s Eve 2019 when 1,316 vehicles went up in flames, Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said Saturday on Twitter. Fewer arson attacks occurred because of massive police presence on cities’ streets this New Year’s Eve, enforcing law and order and restrictions on public gatherings and wearing face masks as infections driven by the fast-spreading omicron variant surge, he said.

New York City health officials have been using race to help decide how to allocate precious coronavirus testing resources, leaked emails from the agency show. In a conversation with reps for the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, City Councilman Joe Borelli’s office said constituents on Staten Island’s South Shore were having trouble getting tested at city facilities. “Our office has been receiving calls regarding the mobile NYC H+H testing sites such as Wolfes Pond Park. It appears many are waiting with delays, and are being turned away after waiting for hours,” wrote Borelli staffer Briana Nasti in a Dec. 22 email.

In a New Year's address, Tedros said the tools were available to end the pandemic as the world enters its third year of the pandemic. A business owner in Salem, Oregon, painted a mural honoring the American flag and the Marines who raised it at Iwo Jima. Most observers considered it a beautiful memorial and an attractive use of an otherwise nondescript wall. The owner of the business commissioned a local artist to create the tasteful and fetching display of patriotism. The Salem City Council has ordered him to remove it, or face fines of up to $200 per day. The artist, Mario De Leon, raised the alarm in a Facebook post: What’s up everybody. The city of Salem is forcing @valleyroofingoregon to remove the mural I painted or to give the mural to the Salem art society.

The cruise ship industry has been hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, much of their pain and suffering has been self-inflicted, driven by their mindless following of pointless federal dictates. That has most noticeably manifested itself in the implementation of so-called “vaccine passports.” Of course, vaccine passports do not actually accomplish anything. New York City not only has a vaccine passport system, but they also have a vaccine mandate. Still, they lead the nation in new coronavirus cases as of this writing. But the fact that everyone spreads COVID — and that vaccine passports made no sense — is not new information. And when Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida

Almost as transmissible as measles which is probably the most common highly transmissible infectious agent that we know. So the message is if you don’t want to get COVID, keep your gatherings really small. Surround yourself with vaccinated people. This is not the year for big New Year’s parties.
