One father, speaking in cheerful and respectful tones, ended the call by saying “Merry Christmas and let’s go, Brandon.” And to the delight of Biden’s tens of millions of detractors, Biden echoed those words and added, “I agree.” His supporters could argue that he was taking the air out of the phrase, but alternative explanations are that he couldn’t hide from the truth or that he was revealing yet another sign of dementia. Or, in the more important question, when does the COVID emergency end? (snip) Into this maelstrom of panic porn and confusion comes Omicron. (snip) Omicron may, in fact, be the vaccine against COVID that the Dark Lord of Viruses says he wants. It still has lots of the envelope, mantle, and nucleocapsid from COVID, and those create robust immunity. But Omicron is, in its own way. a flawed vaccine because it’s natural. It works. The events of the past five or six years have demonstrated to America that the FBI is no longer the unbiased law enforcement agency it once was. (snip) There are only two options: rehabilitate the FBI, or eliminate it. The current state is unacceptable in a functioning constitutional republic.(snip) The DoJ has not only failed to provide course correction to the FBI, it has arguably contributed to the problems. The rebuilding of the FBI should be overseen by a board chartered with the mission of rehabilitation, and staffed with people who care about integrity and understand what a well-functioning police organization should look like.

The other day, in an interview with NBC News, Hillary Clinton went public with a warning -- or was it a dog whistle to Democrats and the left? It might be an instance of Hillary’s mouth running ahead of her brain, but don’t count on it. Hillary is a coldly calculating woman -- and that might be one of her better qualities.
Hillary suggested that if Trump or “someone of his ilk” is elected president in 2024, then American democracy is kaput. Foolishness? Knowing the conceits and delusions that infect her intended audience, her suggestion might not seem ludicrous.
The accepted wisdom amongst conservatives is that Joe Biden is a demented buffoon who is under the control of a leftist cabal in the White House, the individual members of which are unknown. However, Don Surber, who is one of the conservative blogosphere’s most astute political writers, has a different theory. He thinks that Biden is a savvy political operative as evidenced by a successful political career that has spanned almost 50 years. (snip) "Voters and pundits misread Biden. They thought they were getting a harmless and befuddled old man (snip) He knows how to stage and frame his presidency."

In roughly three weeks, the New York state legislature will vote on Bill A416, which will give the New York governor (in this case, the power-mad Kathy Hochul), as well as the governor’s delegates (i.e., New York’s administrative state) the power to indefinitely detain anyone the governor or her agencies deem a “significant threat to public health.” (snip) the governor has the power to “order the removal and/or detention of such a person or of a group of such persons” with just a single order (reasonably specific) to detain people “in a medical facility or other appropriate facility or premises....”

One problem: The committee is proving itself amazingly dishonest in its ambitions to Get Trump and it's now becoming a pattern. In November, the Salvation Army officially went woke, declaring that, after soul searching, it was calling upon all White people associated with or donating to the Salvation Army to admit their racism and repent. After an angry response from the public, the Salvation Army itself repented...of its wokeness and it walked back its message. It was too late, though. Local Salvation Army chapters are seeing 50% drops in both volunteers and donations. Get Woke; Go Broke. (snip) Antifa won’t pony up money or labor and those normal people who usually do aren’t going to this year.

Speaking in Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday, President Joe Biden blamed the recent deadly tornado outbreak in Kentucky on “climate change.” Biden stated, “The fact is we all know everything is more intense when the climate is warming and obviously it has some impact here.”
Biden’s statement is laughably inept and easily disproved. All one has to do is look past the opinions, pronouncements, and hand waving and concentrate on what science and data actually say about the issues.
