Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday announced that American corporations and international organizations have agreed to invest $1.2 billion in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras to improve the economies of those Central American countries as thousands of migrants from there and elsewhere continue to surge across the U.S. border with Mexico.

A man fired shots at two different people during an armed robbery inside a Dearborn business, police said.
The robbery happened around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 15) at a business in the 7500 block of Wyoming Avenue, according to authorities.
Officials said a man wearing a surgical mask and all-black clothing walked into the store and fired one shot at someone. He stole several items from the store before leaving, according to police.

Investigators in Bountiful need the public’s help to identify several suspects who were involved in the shooting of a homeowner during a car burglary.
Bountiful Police released home surveillance video of the shooting which shows several suspects approaching cars in front of homes on 2700 South.
A homeowner was awake and ran outside to confront the suspects. The video shows the man run into the driveway at which point the suspect runoff and then several shots are fired.
