Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, the Michiganian who became the face of American tyranny when she famously cracked down on seed purchases at Home Depot-type stores during the blooming stages of the coronavirus, had this to say about vaccine mandates: “I know if that mandate happens, we’re going to lose state employees” and “that’s why I haven’t proposed a mandate at the state level” and “we’re waiting to see what happens in court.” A Democrat who’s actually taking a cue from courts and citizens’ backlash and slowing roll on a dictate?(Snip)You know you’re losing the battle to subdue civil rights when a tyrant like Gov. Whitmer is a fraud. She is up for election in 11 months and knows she will be pounded by many of her covid restrictions crap. Remember, she had large stores like Meijer and Walmart rope off portions of their stores and not allow people to buy things like paint. Why? Control. She also has a nursing home problem, but the media does a good job covering it up.

New York—The CEOs of Target (TGT), Best Buy (BBY), Nordstrom (JWN), Home Depot (HD) and CVS (CVS) are among a group of 20 retail leaders who sent a letter Thursday to Congress expressing their concern over a recent wave of brazen store robberies in major US cities and urged lawmakers to take action. The group called on Congress to pass legislation that would deter criminals from being able to easily resell stolen merchandise, specifically online. "As millions of Americans have undoubtedly seen on the news in recent weeks and months, retail establishments of all kinds have seen a significant uptick in organized crime in communities across the nation,"

Unvaccinated Austrians could soon face thousands in fines for flouting the COVID-19 vaccine mandate slated for February for all residents 14 and older. The Austrian government on Nov. 19 announced its plans to enforce a general vaccine mandate beginning Feb. 1. The country currently boasts a roughly 68% vaccination rate, which is low for Western Europe. The move will be the first such mandate for any European country. Those who are neither vaccinated nor exempted could face a 3,600-euro (about $4,000) fine, an amount which could be altered based on the individual’s income and other financial obligations. “We still have an obligation and a need to increase vaccination coverage

A Fort Bragg soldier will be deported after she pleaded guilty to one count of visa fraud for faking her marriage to a United States citizen in order to get a green card, federal officials announced. Maryam Movsum Hasanova, 35, originally from Azerbaijan, entered the US as an exchange visitor, however that status expired in March 2014, federal prosecutors said. In early 2015, she met a US citizen, identified only as S.V.M. in court documents, who agreed to the sham marriage to Hasanova in exchange for $15,000. The two were married in New York in October 2015. Hasanova and her new fake hubby submitted paperwork to the United States Citizenship

Fourteen Senate Republicans crossed-party lines on Thursday to advance legislation creating a one-time filibuster carveout so Democrats can unilaterally raise the nation’s borrowing limit. Led by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, the 14 Republicans voted alongside all 50 Senate Democrats to end debate on the topic. The move sets up the legislation to be passed later on Thursday by a simple majority within the Senate. GOP lawmakers said the one-time carveout is a win because it pushes Democrats into raising the debt limit, a cap on how much the government can borrow to pay for federal expenditures, on their own. “The whole country understands that Democrats own this

Amtrak’s president admitted to Congress Thursday that its travelers will face service cuts and delays this winter as a consequence of President Biden‘s national vaccine mandate. Stephen Gardner told the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee that Amtrak will reduce the number of trains traveling long distances once the mandate goes into effect. “As part of addressing the challenges presented by COVID-19, Amtrak must comply with the federal mandate effective January 4, 2022, that employees of government contractors be fully vaccinated,” Mr. Gardner said. “However … we anticipate that we will not initially have enough employees to operate all the trains we are currently operating when the federal mandate takes effect.”

The ability of the COVID-19 vaccines to prevent severe illness and hospitalization wanes over time, a CDC study finds. Researchers at the agency found that the effectiveness of severe illness prevention drops from as high as 89 percent to as low as 75 percent 120 days after the second shot of the Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is received. The data was gathered by the agency from February to September, though, meaning the Omicron variant had not yet been discovered at the time. Still, the CDC researchers say that these data show the need for Covid booster shots, especially among people who are more vulnerable to the virus.

DAVIS, Calif. — Banana peels, chicken bones and leftover veggies won't have a place in California trashcans under the nation's largest mandatory residential food waste recycling program that's set to take effect in January. The effort is designed to keep landfills in the most populous U.S. state clear of food waste that damages the atmosphere as it decays. When food scraps and other organic materials break down they emit methane, a greenhouse gas more potent and damaging in the short-term than carbon emissions from fossil fuels. To avoid those emissions, California plans to start converting residents' food waste into compost or

Hillary Clinton lost, and now she needs to move on from the 2016 election. I’m not trying to be cruel or twist the knife. I mean this with all sincerity. She just needs to move on for her own good. The constant reliving of her failed campaign against former President Donald Trump is unhealthy. She’s clearly still upset about it. She’s clearly still angry. But she’ll never recover from her defeat so long as she continues to wallow in it, relentlessly poring over every excruciating detail. She’ll certainly never recover if she continues in both word and deed to define herself by her failed campaign.

Los Angeles Unified [snip] and other districts are phasing out grades below a C for high school students. The idea is to encourage students to learn the course material and not be derailed by a low grade that could potentially disqualify them from admission to the University of California and California State University.

Yes, Joe Biden is far and away the worst president in the history of the United States. However, the four-year Trump interlude between Obama and Biden gave the U.S. at least a little resiliency to stand against Biden’s hard-left administration. Imagine how much worse things would have been if Hillary had immediately stepped into Obama’s shoes. America wouldn’t have stood a chance. And lest you forget just what a horrible human being Hillary was, she just gave us a reminder as she spoke with Today’s Willie Geist about her decision to read her “victory speech” aloud for a MasterClass.
