Will the Supreme Court overturn Roe v.
Wade? Possible outcomes for the upcoming
abortion case

The Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments on Dec. 1 for a highly anticipated case that could dramatically alter abortion access in the United States. While the court could overturn its landmark decision in Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion, observers have suggested the justices could take more complicated paths to allowing states the power to impose greater restrictions on abortion. The case – Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health – is based on Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban, and could help craft a new standard for restrictions.

Comments:

We'll see what happens, but I'm not optimistic. Trump's three appointees were supposed to come through on this debate, and I have my doubts that they wiill.

Sadly, I think there are people on both sides of the issue who totally fail to understand what would happen if R v W was overturned by the Supreme Court. First, it would not ban abortion in this country. It would simply return the right to pass laws controlling abortion to the states (where it belongs). Which realistically means that a handful of states would ban all abortions, a handful of states would allow abortions up to birth with no limits, and the majority of states would allow abortions in some or most cases, but with limitations. So regardless of how the lie-berals loves to wail and gnash their teeth, even if R v W were fully overturned tomorrow, there isn't a woman in this country that couldn't get a legal abortion if she wanted one. Yes, it might be a little more inconvenient if she lived in one of those states that banned them fully. She would have to drive the 3-4 hours (at most in most cases) to go to an adjoining state where they were still legal to kill her unborn baby. But hey, call me old fashioned, but I think if a woman wants to slaughter her unborn baby, maybe it should be a little more inconvenient!!!

I fully expect the Supreme Joke of the United States to strike down the Mississippi law and expand abortion on demand paid for by taxpayers. After all, Chief Just-Us Roberts (the most political Just-Us in the last 70 years) found a way to say not participating in commerce is commerce that is taxable (Obambicare). Now if he and the liberals can find that right in the Constitution, the sky's the limit.

The timing couldn't be worse. If overturned, the media will incorrectly frame it (see #1's excellent observation) and the left will then take to the streets and further divide the country in ways we haven't seen since the height of Vietnam. This is going to be ugly.

In this installment of our weekly Sunday Six conversation, PF Whalen and Parker Beauregard of The Blue State Conservative discuss six takeaways from the recently concluded trial of Kyle Rittenhouse. #6: We learned that leftwing activists now believe they can intimidate participants in the justice system into bowing to their objectives, without any boundaries. PF: There were protesters in front of the courthouse from the beginning of the trial – an increasing amount of them, in fact – and while some were pro-Rittenhouse, the majority were anti-Rittenhouse. Those protesters were demanding that Rittenhouse be found guilty and were extremely vocal in their pleas.

Back on October 1st, Richmond, Virginia public schools superintendent Jason Kamras followed President Joe Biden’s lead and announced a vaccine mandate for all teachers and staff in his district. Those failing to comply would have their pay withheld and could potentially face the loss of their jobs if they didn’t come into line with the policy. But that was then and this is now. The schools were already struggling to fill more than 100 vacancies, almost all of which were driven by the mandate. This week, on Monday night, the School Board was forced to approve 29 more resignations,
