Georgia's coronavirus data made reopening look safe.
The numbers were a lie

Nothing about the spread of the coronavirus or the nature of the disease suggests that it’s safe to get back to business as usual. And yet “reopen” is the word on almost every American’s lips, despite apocalyptic warnings from public heath experts suggesting that, without an aggressive national public health strategy, the country could face its “darkest winter.”

And thank you, LA Times for that blast of biased propaganda. You've defended your State's paralysis, and nothing more.

I don't think you understand... we didn't VOLUNTEER to flatten the curve so that liberal governors would lock us down and make us the United Socialist States of Americe. NO SIR... and we ain't going to stand for it, regardless of what this virus does - we are not surrendering our freedoms to socialists... sorry.; nope, not sorry - now, get out of our way!

They are moving the goal posts.
The curve to be flattened was never the number of infections nor even the number of deaths. It was the number of daily hospital admissions. Fear of hospital overload was the only reason for the lockdown. The hospitals are not overloaded. In fact they are seriously underloaded. The lockdown has to end. Period.

Los Angels Times is made from the same crap that forms the New York Times and the Washington Post. If you run out of fertilizer, put this stuff on your roses.

It was the closing down that was a lie. Never before I’m history, as far as I know, have healthy people been quarantined. Quarantine is for the sick. Is there evidence that people without symptoms spread the disease? It is people who cough and sneeze —symptoms—who spread the germs. This thing has been so overblown that I can see how it can actually cause mental illness. There are certainly a lot of crazies out there with masks worn outdoors and fear of anyone getting too close. I actually heard a woman say she brings a tape measure with her to “distance” from others.

Exactly Matt, BECAUSE opening up for business is what most every American wants, that's why we are doing it. The alternative is to live under the thumb of an idiot and go broke. Oh, by the way, the dire warnings of the experts are wrong, or haven't you heard?

The LA Slimes is picking up with carrying NY Slimes lies and propaganda. As Mad Maxie said, "We (demonrats) don't want businesses open". They want them to fail.

I live in Georgia and can attest that the four horsemen of the apocalypse are not rampaging through the state.

Nice. Totally fact-free editorial acting like news. Checked out the Georgia website and numbers are dropping. But LAT won't let actual data get in the way of their agenda.

Mr. Fleischer is a liar, and has no numbers. I haven't seen any bodies being picked up at job sites, parks, beaches, or restaurants. We have seen a lot of scare tactics. Don't get out of your house, or you might die. But no one leaving their houses has died. Most of the masks have been thrown in the streets. Apparently, mask wearers are not environmentalists and cannot wait until they pass a trash can. As for social distancers, they distance in the stores, but line up inches apart waiting to get inside. The hospitals have furloughed their doctors and nurse because they have no patients. Doctors offices have no one making office visits. The states have no revenue. The damage from this virus should not be measured by the economic damages. Those were caused by politicians, not by the virus.

And yet reporters like this are shocked when normal people want to pound them to the ground. Hey, Matt, you earned it.

Garbage journalism at its finest. The author accuses Georgia of manipulating its CV data. However the data is public record, proving that infections, hospitalizations, and fatalities are all down since Georgia "opened".
