Joe Biden Addresses High Gas Prices: Americans
Can Save Money if They Buy Electric Cars

Original Article

President Joe Biden promoted his efforts to lower gas prices on Tuesday, but he reminded Americans they would save more money on gas if they owned electric cars. “For the hundreds of thousands of folks who bought one of those electric cars, they’re going to save $800 to $1000 in fuel costs this year,” Biden said, referring to the $112,595 electric Hummer pickup he test drove at a General Motors factory in Detroit earlier this month. The president appeared frustrated that some Americans continue blaming his environmental agenda for higher gas prices, dismissing it as a “myth.” “My effort to combat climate change

I don't even know where to begin. Such stupidity is scary in someone who is president of the US. And I bet all his communist appointees think the same. Just buy an electric car. No we don't have a lot of refueling stations yet but we're going to spend $3 trillion dollars fixing that. And save a little money on the side because if your battery goes dead, it might cost a few thousand to replace but with our booming economy, you'll be able to afford it. That about right, Joe?

Joe "Dementia" Biden "As dementia progresses, driving is impaired by poor judgment (the person may drive in terrible weather), memory loss (the person may get lost), problems with reasoning and problem solving (the person may be unable to understand signage or an unfamiliar detour) and fatigue (the person may fall asleep). When these factors develop, taking the wheel makes a driver truly a danger to society and him or herself." $112,595 electric Hummer pickup? Fixing a bumper should be $10,000 or less. Jill, maybe HB can help out.

The whole motive of driving up gas prices is to push people to electric vehicles, which are not cheap and you won't save a penny.

In the words of that well known philosopher, Bugs Bunny, "What a maroon!" Just about every cost-benefit anaylsis I've seen says all-electric cars cost more to operate than a gasoline powered vehicle. The purchase price is higher, maintenance and repair costs are higher. And perhaps electricity is less expensive, but chances are you're going to incur higher costs in setting up a home charging station and increased home electricity bills. Add to that the shorter range of these vehicles, availability and speed of recharging (think stopping for an hour or two or more to recharge on that long trip vs. a few minutes to fill up the tank). Also, where does that electricity come from? Unless you got a windmill on top of that car, chances are the power comes from coal, nuclear, or natural gas powered plants. Also, as more electric vehicles hit the road, neighborhood power grids will not be able to take the increased demand for recharge power. In fact, I once read about what a "corner gas station" would have to be to re-fuel (re-charge) electric vehicles. The station would have to have a power plant large enough to power a small town and take up more than a couple city blocks. Now, I can see the idea behind hybrid (gasoline-electric) vehicles as they have the backup of a fuel powered engine. I once saw a picture of a rural charging station. There it was, with a diesel generator powering it. Duh.

Average New Car prices(for ALL cars) is $47,000..Electric $70k+...a "Good" one? Over $100k with $thousands of Tax payer subsidy included. 6-8 years ago...I bought my father a 2bdr/2bath "final home" on 3/4 fenced acre, in a safe, pretty, friendly, great schools, lots of seniors/starter families suburb for $47K, fixed it up a bit...now worth $150k. I bought it at a Tax Sale, someone was sent into bankruptcy by high Taxes, lost everything. I COULD have bought a Tesla, or some other Flashy/Stylish Ego E-Car then...for $150k, that would now be worth $47k. Instead I kept driving my used Jeeps, bought for under $5k, until after 300k+ miles when I'd get rid of that one and get another w/only 100k or so.

What world is Biden living in? As average working American, who is now concerned about the current raising price of gasoline, does not have $80,000.00 to purchase an electric motor vehicle that has limited range that may be even much shorter during the dead of winter. A person driving long distance right now on the interstate highway system currently have no way to recharge the batteries in those electric vehicles.

C'mon man, Joe is right again, you just don't have the mental capacity to keep up with him. Buy a Tesla, start out on any major interstate and enjoy the first couple of hundred miles. You will then hum to a stop at an unexpected time, spend the rest of your life waiting for the battery charger truck and die there. You will probably have saved over thirty thousand dollars in fuel charges. Hint: You can spend the rest of your idle time counting the number of drivers carrying gas cans offering to help you.

Absolute baloney! The sources of electrical power to charge electric cars are dams, nuclear plants, solar panels, wind turbines, geothermal sources, and fossil fuels. All of these combined other than fossil fuels are totally inadequate to provide the amount of electricity necessary for our economy.

The amount of energy it takes to manufacture an electric car far exceeds the amount to manufacture current cars. Also, at the end of its life, you have to properly dispose of the batteries, which is also expensive. Throw in all the points made by previous posters, and Biden's argument is nothing more than a bumper sticker slogan.

Oh, and electric cars are resource hogs, from the massive battery packs that die in 4 years requiring rare earths that aren't recyclable to fragile aluminum bodies. The Biden Administration Got Absolutely

Over the last few days, the mainstream media have expressed jubilation at Joe Biden’s decision to release oil from the strategic reserves. The largely symbolic, wholly temporary move was made to try to relieve gas prices as people gear up to travel for the holiday season. After months of the press insisting that Biden had no control over gas prices, they are now praising him for supposedly lowering gas prices. Except, it looks like that’s not actually going to happen, at least not at the level hoped. Per a new report, Russia and Saudi Arabia are gearing up to undercut Biden’s political ploy,

The 50 million barrels of oil that Joe Biden has ordered released from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve will largely go to China and India, according to Fox Business News. About 18 million barrels of that oil have been earmarked for sale by Congress. The other 32 million barrels will go to the American consumer. Since the oil in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve is what’s known as “sour” crude — oil with large levels of sulfur that makes it more expensive to refine — it’s far more attractive to foreign buyers like China because it’s relatively inexpensive compared to the “sweet” crude that’s easier to turn into gasoline at the refinery.

The New York City Council will vote on December 9 on a law to allow green-card holders and residents with work permits to vote in municipal elections. Around 808,000 New York City residents who have work permits or are lawful permanent residents would be eligible to vote under the legislation, which has the support of 34 of 51 council members, a veto-proof majority. “It’s important for the Democratic Party to look at New York City and see that when voting rights are being attacked, we are expanding voter participation,” Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez, a sponsor of the bill and Democrat who represents the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, told the New York Times.

Viewing America from outside the country adds a semi-neutral perspective on news and events. I’ve been told there’s value in hearing an outside viewpoint about people more intimately tied to the emotional maelstrom of unfolding events. Conversely, I find it helpful to receive information from people in the know, which adds to the volume and depth of my research. When it comes to Kamala Harris’s floundering, I’ve been hearing shocking gossip. I received this gossip directly from a Washington insider, It will be difficult to confirm until it happens, if it happens.

British experts have sounded the alarm over a new Covid variant believed to have emerged in Botswana that is the most mutated version of the virus yet. Only 10 cases of the strain, which could eventually be named 'Nu', have been detected so far. But it has already been spotted in three countries, suggesting the variant is more widespread. It carries 32 mutations, many of which suggest it is highly transmissible and vaccine-resistant, and has more alterations to its spike protein than any other variant.(Snip)Dr Tom Peacock, a virologist at Imperial College who first picked up on its spread, described the variant's combination of mutations as 'horrific'.

The team found that in Georgia, Trump would be ahead by 3 points, 8 points in Arizona, 12 points in Michigan, 6 points in Pennsylvania and 10 points in Wisconsin, if the race were held today.Together, the states represent 73 electoral votes.

What was founded in 1865 in London, England, as both a protestant Christian church and an international charitable organization, the Salvation Army has now embraced Critical Race Theory. Its first “red kettle” was set up in Oakland, California in 1891 and since then millions of people have dropped coins and bills into their kettles while a smiling person repeating ” Merry Christmas” rings a handheld bell perpetually.Unfortunately, this Christian organization, like many others who have drifted away from the sole purpose of advancing the Gospel, is now embracing racist ideology peddled by anti-white activists including Ibram Kendi.
