RNC chair apologizes to committee members
for poor communication on new gay pride initiative

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel emailed an apology Monday evening to the GOP's 168 committee members, acknowledging she could have done a better job communicating a new initiative to recruit gay voters that upset some in the party's Christian evangelical base. McDaniel's email was sent a few hours after she tried to quell a rebellion inside her ranks, holding a conference call with RNC members that delivered talking points supporting the new GOP Pride coalition but refusing to take questions. She blamed the risk that news media members may have dialed into the call for skipping a Q&A.

Comments:

The Gang that Can't Shoot Straight steps in scheiss yet again. The GOP must be purged of these dufuses like Ronna Romney, or we have to go new party. There is no middle ground. I will not support this clown show.

I think it's time to replace Ronna with a Go-Getter Republican! Ronna has become too comfortable and too intrenched in the D.C. way! We need someone like Judge Jeanine to put some life and energy into the RNC!

It is not poor communication. It is poor judgement and poor policy. Forget the GOP pride coalition. You are either a Republican or you are not. African American? No, you are either an American or not. No one person or group of people are special. We are in this together. Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. James 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

The one and ONLY "pride" the Republican Party should promote is "American Pride." The Democrats are the party of tribes. Republicans should be the party of a unified country, regardless of race, ethnic origin, sexual preference, etc. THAT is a winning strategy, both for the party and the nation.

Fire the beast! We need those gay voters so they can... I don't know, elect more gay people to Congres so more government people can enjoy months of parental leave to care for their rented children. I demand they put somebody in charge like Buttigieg who better understands this critical need and might do something about it when his child turns twelve and he can devote more time to his job.

One more reason that, after 50+ years of being a proud Republican, I am now an "independent conservative". The Republican Party is now the Republi-Can't Party. I will never vote for a Demon-Rat, but I will no longer vote for a terrible RINO candidate just because he/she has an "R" after their name either. The lesser of two evils is still evil, and I refuse to vote for evil any more. Voting for evil gives us people like Cheney and Murkowski. Only good, conservative candidates will get my vote from now on!!! You know, conservatives that actually want to work to make this a better country, not pander to every freak show special-interest group!!!!!

Is homosexuality an issue with the Republican party? Evangelicals, if indeed they truly have an issue with this issue, need to keep their pie holes closed. Retrograde thinking of this sort undermines the conservative brand. Think what you like, but don't try to foist it upon the Party.

All fifty Senate Republicans are launching a formal challenge to President Biden's vaccine requirement for private businesses, as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) order is being challenged in court. Indiana Sen. Mike Braun leads his 49 GOP colleagues in filing a resolution of disapproval against Biden's order that all companies with over 100 employees must require vaccines or weekly Covid-19 testing. The disapproval resolution is guaranteed a floor vote, which Braun says he will set for early December. The resolution is filibuster-proof, meaning it needs only pass by a simple majority. If one Democrat signs on, the resolution would then need to be approved by the House.

According to the plan, the average top tax rate on personal income would reach 57.4% – giving Americans the highest tax rate out of residents living in 38 member countries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development

Sure looks that way, given some curious goings on reported by Fox News's straight-news congressional correspondent, Chad Pergram (snip) The Pergram report follows from another rumor just a day ago of a Biden plan to kick Harris upstairs: Rumors have circulated that Biden may even be considering nominating Harris for a Supreme Court seat if one becomes vacant so that he can select a new Vice President. (snip) What's significant about that is that Joe has decades of friendships, alliances, and honor-among-thieves relationships throughout Congress. Harris, by contrast, has few allies, given her self-serving and ambitious nature.
