After having their entire case obliterated by video evidence and bombshell witness testimony all week – with some of the worst blows coming from their own ‘star’ witnesses – prosecutors for the state’s case against Kyle Rittenhouse finally came to the realization that their arguments had gotten them nowhere.
In a shocking admission on Friday, the prosecution said that because of the evidence presented in the case “a reasonable jury or juror” could acquit Rittenhouse on the most serious charges that he faces.
Even the least serious of the charges that Rittenhouse faces – illegal possession of a firearm – may be dismissed by the judge in the case.

I doubt this judge is going to put up with this type of nonsense after slamming the prosecution for a variety of errors.

If I'm the defense team, I want this to go to the jury and get a not guilty verdict. They gambled on putting Kyle on the stand and won that bet (something I wouldn't have done -- even if Mother Teresa was my client).
Next thing you know, the prosecution will be trying to charge the kid with tearing off those "Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Federal Law" tags off his mattress.

He's innocent but we have to convict him of something to prevent the impending chimpout. I get it. Justice be damned.

Will the DoJ file civil rights charges against Rittenhouse in order to appease BLM and Antifa radicals as well the entertainment industry and the MSM? If AG Garland and his leftists in the DoJ can do this to Officer Derek Chauvin, they can easily do this to the 18 year old Rittenhouse.

PLUS...the entire defense has been based upon the charges files...not some other "New" charges.
DA could have filed 500 separate charges in the beginning, chose not to.
Now in desperation, having seriously overcharged, wants to make a change? Tough T*tty smitty.

This is absurd. Judge, let the poor kid go free after he receives an apology from the state.

I don't understand #3 why you would not have put Kyle on the stand. Seriously, please explain. My reaction to his testimony was that he is a decent person who was deeply troubled by what he was driven to do in defense of his very own life. It has bothered me for some time that in court cases the accused is cautioned to not speak. I understand the strategy if the defendant is guilty, but to me, speaking the truth is the best defense. The corrupt "criminal justice" system encourages input from everyone except the person with the most to lose. The process is a high stakes game in which the truth is often irrelevant. It might be the way it is, but it's not right and if we survive all this we need to change it. Also, let's allow lie detector tests to be admissible.

Pray that there are at least a few courageous, morally upright patriots on this jury who will not be intimidated and will vote not guilty on all charges no matter how much they will be browbeaten and threatened by the other cowardly, fearful jurors who will vote guilty to save their own skins.
Pray for the patriots on this jury to hold the line against totalitarianism and lawlessness.

I’m not a lawyer but how is it possible to change the charges if your on trial for something else? We’re these charges already part of it all? The man is innocent.

Doesn't this just say to the jury, " I didn't prove my case, I'm desperate to get him on something, ". NOT Guilty!

This is a moot trial a white person shoots three white rioters so why all the fuss by blacks? A verdict will still get cities burned this is too easy. Early shopping before Black Friday. All this hurrah about white supremacy is a hoax that some inner city black doesn't even care about. The media just wants this to be right for them that's what this is about nothing else. If found not guilty the media will unleash the big 'chimpout' on all cities you can count on it.

How many blacks will be killed by other blacks in Wisconsin this weekend and how many of the killers will be arrested and prosecuted? What more proof does anyone need that black lives, in fact, do not matter at all?

I'm hoping that the fact that the guard has been called out will take pressure off the jury to discard their lawful duty.
As for the prosecution larding up the charges at the last minute... that would tick me off.

I too believe that innocent people should testify if they want to. In this case, Kyle represented himself better than any lawyer could. The problem is the shady - no, corrupt prosecution which nitpicks his testimony to gain some advantage. I have to hope that the jury doesn't have a single sympathizer with the Antifa/Grosskreutz ilk. Normal people will recognize Kyle as the good and decent person he is. Trouble is, Wisconsin is full of communists and other 'revolutionary' sympathizers. Pray for this young man and his family.

Actually the kid knows the law better than the prosecution does. His rifle was not illegal for him to have, but a handgun would have been. He had only his rifle and no handgun.

From what I understand, putting a defendant on the stand opens up a lot of risks , especially with competent prosecutors (obviously not a factor in this case). The silence of a defendant is constutionally protected and can not be legally considered as any sign of guilt or innocence.
You always run the risk of your client being "tripped up" by a real or percieved flaw in his testimony.
That being said, Mr Rittenhouse and his attorneys were providing that the exception proves the rule. And a prosecution team that probably has a worse record in court than DA Burger had against Perry Mason didn't hurt.

This is one slimly, corrupt to the core prosecution or should we say persecution. These Leftists are hellbent on trying to prove American Citizens have no right to protect themselves... Self Protection that's in our beloved Constitution.
These Leftists want citizens to stand by and watch while these American grown terrorists burn down their cities and do nothing. This kid wanted to help his city. His life was one of being a lifeguard, CPR trained and giving community help. A teenager Americans would be proud of..one who cleaned graffiti off of buildings and protected car lots from looters.
And these corrupt prosecutors set out to frame him and put him in jail for what? To make Americans think they are weak and Big Government is their only protection, not the 2nd Amendment.

How is this ok? How is the defense supposed to fight against charges that were not part of the case until the very end? This bifurcated justice system can not stand.

Judge needs to come back with a directed verdict with prejudice on Sunday. This is so obviously nothing more than a political prosecution that there can be no other option.
