A disgraceful prosecution finally rested
in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial

Original Article

On Tuesday, the Kyle Rittenhouse prosecution rested its case after its witnesses once again strongly supported Kyle’s assertion that he only acted in self-defense. In a righteous world, the judge would, on his own initiative, order a directed verdict in Kyle’s favor. Instead, it emerged that there’s a plan to terrorize the jurors (and, by implication, the judge). Also the mainstream media, of course, pretended that the prosecution had actually proved its case. (snip) My concern is that the jurors will keep themselves safe by finding Kyle guilty and the judge will agree. They’ll all assuage their consciences

All the crooked liberals need is the judge from the Flynn debacle, and a conviction is in the bag!

Most rational minds agree the case merits directed verdict in favor of Rittenhouse. However, it is quite common for trial judges in that case to still allow it to go to the jury. This is because the Judge can still issue a directed verdict after the jury rules. Then, if the appellate courts disagree with the Trial Judge's directed verdict, then can simply re-institute the jury's finding. If the Judge issues the directed verdict before the jury ruling and is found wrong, they have to conduct an entirely new trial. There are systemic efficiencies that encourage the Judge to let the matter go to the jury.

well, a bad prosecutorial team is getting their a****s handed to them and not because they are inept, it is because they pursued a completely biased case in which the facts clearly stood out as the weakest of weak prosecutions imaginable and the fact that they overloaded the number of charges against an innocent man makes the case stink even more than it does.

This had to be prosecuted, or the community would be in flames again. The motion for a directed verdict was turned down, as one would expect. I have full faith and confidence in the judge and jury to do what is right, and that appears to be an acquittal. #1 - Flynn pled guilty twice under oath in open court, and that included that his plea was because he was guilty and not under duress. Judge Sullivan gave him two opportunities and offered an overnight to consider his changing plea to "Not Guilty". Take that for what it's worth.

In a righteous world these prosecutors would be disbarred and shunned. This is a gross abuse of the authority of the state and should not go unpunished. But it WILL go unpunished and these prosecutors will continue to draw thir government paychecks while, regardless if he is found innocent or not, Kyle Rittenhouse will still no doubt have to struggle with legal fees and the disruption of his life, and a clear message will have been sent to any citizen who would dare stand up to the Democrat mob.

The judge so far has shown some spine about this, so I am still hopeful. There is so much here that would allow the judge to totally throw out any kind of conviction if he wanted to. He also directed that any cameras caught filming should be brought to him for examination. The two persecutors, as well as the cops involved, need to lose their jobs and their pensions maybe. There Was No Case. Not like they tried to portray.

The verdict will be guilty. There will be riots. The only "good" thing to come out of it will be that the sheer outrageousness of this perfidy wil fire up more angry voters next November.

Watching the shenanigans in the still contested New Jersey gubernatorial election, I have to wonder whether there has ever been a truly honest election in state history. From my own experience, I would say probably not and, as I also learned, there are a thousand ways to cheat. In 1982, through an odd sequence of events, I found myself with a ringside seat on a routinely crooked Newark mayoral election. I had been offered a job as “associate director” of the 1,000-employee Newark Housing and Redevelopment Authority. This being a recession year, and I needing to finish my Ph.D. dissertation, I took it. This was not a career move.

Democrats haven’t grasped this yet, but it’s too late for them. The die is cast. An electoral bloodbath awaits next year, akin to or surpassing what happened to their party in 2010. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s and the Squad’s anti-American leftist politics drive their party, and that’s beginning to register at a gut-level with voters. What voters – critically, that big, pivotal segment known as independents – now feel is revulsion for Democrats in not just one way but many. The intensity of that revulsion is bound to grow in the coming months.

Slowing the spread is critical right now to prevent Vermont's hospitals from being overwhelmed with people sick with the virus, Levine said.
