President Biden said the country 'took a monumental step forward' after the House passed the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill with a vote of 228 to 206 on Friday night. The vote late on Friday night is a substantial triumph for Biden's Democrats, who have bickered for months over the ambitious spending bills that make up the bulk of his domestic agenda. Six Democrats, part of the progressive 'Squad' wing of the party, voted against it. The bill had become one of two key pieces of President Joe Biden's and it will now head to his desk for him to sign it into law.

But the squid squad did not vote no until they knew the bill received enough votes to pass with the help of republicans. Soooo brave. And, I agree, we are moving forward. Getting ever closer to going down that worm hole to hell the dems think is such a good idea. Another step forward to oblivion. FJB

The 15 gopes who vited for this pork likely believe defeating the squad is a political victory regardless of the damage done to our country; plus their votes were likely bought with some under the table porkulous promises for their districts. I recall the Christmas eve passage of 0care and yhose broken promises.

That's right, #19. Let us not forget that had China Mitch not allowed this steaming pile of crap to escape the Senate (with Comrades Romney, Murkowski and Collins leading the charge), this would have never been an issue in the first place. It took 60+ to advance this one and send it to Nasty Nanzi, and they got 17 gutless old pukes to support it.
It was Romney that stepped in for the reach across the aisle that started all this.

Biden tried to put a typical old line liberal Democrat major league political “snow job” on the American people this morning, as he celebrated, mostly by way of his trusty teleprompter, the passage of the so-called “bipartisan” infrastructure bill. Biden also falsely claimed that he created millions of “new” jobs since he assumed the Presidency, in a statement that is completely false, as that is really happening is that those jobs were always there, and were temporarily vacant due to the COVID pandemic related economic side effects, with large numbers of American workers now coming back into the workplace to fill those jobs since most of the government “free money” payouts, that Biden actually supported extending indefinitely, a socialist based policy that was rejected in Congress and that would keep American workers from returning to their jobs. In reality since that government “free money” is no longer available to many average American workers. Common sense will tell you that more and more previously employed American workers who can no longer depend on those “free money” government payouts will continue returning to the workplace in the near future. Filling those temporarily vacant jobs that existed before the pandemic with American workers is not the result of any policies or actions that have been taken by Biden or his crew.
Biden says that he is going to build a hundred thousand charging stations all over the USA to recharge future electric propelled motor vehicles so that such vehicle owners will be able to drive their electric motor vehicles from coast to coast without filling up gasoline tanks. Currently electric vehicles must have their batteries recharged after they operate for a couple of hundred miles in a recharging process that takes about three and a half hours while plugged into a charging station, so every few hours Coast to coast travelers would have to stop for at least three and a half hours to recharge their electric vehicles. Biden never said how that will work out in the wintertime across most of the USA, or where all the energy will come from to operate his proposed, and probably China built, charging stations?

So, President Trump was pushing an infrastructure bill but the democrats refused to give him a win.
What you see here is mostly what they delayed simply out of spite and hatred, and is being paid for by unused COVID funds. Or what is by design and is actually over-allocated COVID funds.

'COVID funds' are already unpaid debt, #23. You can't actually pay for something with money that doesn't even exist. That's a total scam, just as the 1.2T price tag is. They are playing the financial shell game here, moving money that doesn't exist from one phony ledger to another.
Less than 10% of this bill pertains to actual infrastructure needs. The rest is rancid pork.

Joe's about to be mugged by reality.
Construction companies will play real hardball to get top dollar for their part in building anything.
Workers are in very short supply.
It sure is easy to sign a bill.
But turning all that money into accomplished construction is a whole other thing.
