The House passed the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure bill with a vote of 228 to 206, sending one of two key pieces of President Joe Biden's agenda to his desk just before midnight Friday. The vote came after a day of haggling between progressive and moderate Democrats, with a deal struck late Friday night, with moderates agreeing to pass Biden's Build Back Better social spending bill no later than November 15. Thirteen Republicans voted with the Democrats to pass the infrastructure bill, which passed the Senate August, while six Democrats voted against it.
