McDonald’s CEO’s ‘racist’ text

McDonald’s head honcho Chris Kempczinski is under fire over a text message he sent to Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot about shootings in the city that critics say was “racist” and “ignorant.” Protesters say the message — sent on April 19 but revealed Tuesday — appeared to blame parents who “failed” their children. “p.s. tragic shootings in last week, both at our restaurant yesterday and with Adam Toldeo [sic]. With both, the parents failed those kids which I know is something you can’t say. Even harder to fix,”(Snip)“Not taking the time to think about this from their viewpoint was wrong, and lacked the empathy and compassion I feel for these families.

Never should have apologized, he was right the first time. The little girl's father is allegedly in a gang and the teenaged boy was carrying a gun.

Yes, the parents bear some responsibility. Nothing to apologize for and certainly NOT racist. What a bunch of stupid, pointless, meaningless baloney the word "racist" has become in the mouths of leftists and most blacks.

Lightfoot has to make it about race. It helps take focus off solving the problems of gangs, which often are comprised of people from minority groups. Lightfoot doesn't want to solve the problem. That would take too much work. It would demand too much of her and the folks on the Left. It is easier to allow little girls to get killed and teenaged boys to join gangs -- and get killed. Then all Lightfoot has to do is complain about the tools (i.e, firearms) that were used in the killings. She doesn't have to do anything,

Black on black Murders happening in Chicago every day elicit a yawn from the populace but don't dare talk about the parenting skills of their usually single parents. I have begun to detect a significant disinterest in the racist rantings and constant failures of our black folks. Take your outrage elsewhere. And of course by "racist" they mean 100 per cent accurate. The situation in "the black community" reminds me of a video I saw years ago regarding an epidemic of rhino deaths in an African national park into which a bunch of orphaned juveinille (sp?) male elephants had been released. These "teenage bulls" entered "must" much earlier than usual and ran utterly amok, among other things killing dozens of rhinos. The problem was that they had never been socialized/taught the ins and outs of proper pachyderm behavior by older bulls. The solution? The park arranged to have several mature bull elephants introduced into the area and not only did the killings stopped--the "teens' stopped going into must. Surely there is a lesson here.

It is more true to say that what we are seeing is the consequence of failed or absent fathers not mothers. It is the rare single mom or grandmom who without a father in the home can properly raise a boy to manhood.

It's racist to even state the problem, so we won't. That is the only way to guarantee the problem never gets fixed and that black kids in Chicago will be killing black kids in Chicago for decades to come. That makes Lightfoot the one with the most blood on her hands.

There are actually some single mothers who at least try their best. The late, great Walter Williams was raised by a single mother. Unfortunately, most of the baby mommas are immature teens with problems of their own. The black community itself is the only entity that can help this situation. When I grew up in the late forties we had at least half a dozen churches in my small town and 90% of the blacks attended church regularly. Very little crime. We had a lot more trouble back then with the abundant white trash in the area. All changed now. Since 1960 after a few trillion dollars the black crime rate in the country has increased exponentially. One would assume that our 'leaders' would be agreeable to try something different but one would be wrong.

"There is not one simple answer," said Vermont Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine during a news conference Tuesday. "But, there are clearly factors that have come together to create the situation that we're in now." Slowing the spread is critical right now to prevent Vermont's hospitals from being overwhelmed with people sick with the virus, Levine said.
