How China Fuels America’s Drug Problem

Original Article

The vast majority of pharmaceuticals used in the United States come from China. That’s bad news for Americans, as both countries are now engaged in a new cold war. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved 53 novel drugs in 2020, which averages out at about one new drug every seven days. The United States, literally awash in prescription medication, is at the mercy of the FDA, a federal agency that approves drugs at an astounding rate. Why is this the case? The reason why Big Pharma comes with a capital B is because the FDA—along with a number of elected politicians—has a vested interest in the success of the pharmaceutical

Comments:

Those who read this excellent essay (which speaks of the same sort of CCP plan outlined and documented by Michael Pillsbury in The Hundred-Year Marathon, his book on the long strategic, relentless march by Xi and the CCP to become the #1 global power. Not just about opioids, the author discusses our almost total dependence on prescription drugs made in China, even though they are of poor quality. And the rapid-fire “approval” of new drugs by the FDA, and why that is occurring. Corners have to be cut, political palms greased.

"The reason why Big Pharma comes with a capital B is because the FDA—along with a number of elected politicians—has a vested interest in the success of the pharmaceutical industry. " Seems like this article begins with a false dichotomy. Don't we all have a vested interest in the success of the pharmaceutical industry?

Although we use the term “vested interest” colloquially, it really means one is a stakeholder who expects financial gain. Big Pharma supports the politicians and the FDA, thus the FDA is not an independent body engaged in clearing “novel drugs” for safety as well as efficacy. This essay has to be read to fully understand what the author is saying/meaning.

The Delta COVID-19 variant can easily transmit from vaccinated people to their household members, said a recent UK study, although its researchers concluded that vaccinations and boosters are the way forward. A year-long study from the Imperial College London published in The Lancet on Thursday found that the Delta variant is still highly transmissible within a vaccinated population. “By carrying out repeated and frequent sampling from contacts of COVID-19 cases, we found that vaccinated people can contract and pass on infection within households, including to vaccinated household members,” Dr. Anika Singanayagam, co-lead author of the study, said in a statement.

It wouldn’t be diplomatic language. … There was clarity with the president. It was simple, it was direct. It was hard, and you understood it,” Kellogg said.

One of the lesser highlighted aspects to Attorney General Merrick Garland using the FBI to investigate parents as domestic extremists when they attend school board meetings, is that Garland put the prosecutorial process in the DOJ- National Security Division (DOJ-NSD). From the perspective of the general public, the DOJ-NSD has become a well known division within the DOJ in the past several years because it was within this division where the lawfare alliance constructed their political targeting operations against candidate Donald Trump. The DOJ-NSD is where the secretive title-1 FISA applications are created and submitted to the FISA court.
