The chairwoman of the Mankato, Minnesota, school board went viral earlier this week for a video in which she is seen telling parents who wish to speak that they are required to first announce their home address. The chairwoman, Jodi Sapp, is seen at an Oct. 18 meeting telling a man he will not be allowed to speak unless he announces his home address. The man first objects, citing security concerns, but ultimately agrees to the demand. The address cannot be heard in the video, but Sapp notably repeats the address to be sure that it is heard by the entire room.

If this becomes a trend at school board meetings, parents should come to meetings prepared and provide a school board member's address as their own. I'm sure they'd be escorted out of the meeting but it's time to doxx the doxxers. Do to people like Ms. Sapp what she did to this parent.

Here’s what you do: come prepared with the addresses of the chairman of the school board and the superintendent. When telling your address, you then say, “Mr. chairman, I just want to verify that your address is ….. “, out loud and on the record. Then do the same with the superintendent. Make them play by their own rules.

Many school superintendents make over $100,000 per year, and then have all sorts of other benefits and pension too. School boards also tend to be people pushed and supported by teacher's unions with funding and support. When did this school board change the rules for these forums? Did they follow protocol, and procedures?

Peaceably assembly in a public space outside the school boar member's house and peaceably protest. No threats or violent acts. Just protest. Bet the School board member doesn't get the protesters' addresses then.

I recently spoke against a building permit variance at a local zoning board, and was required to 'state where I live' to show that I had some legitimate interest in the matter. I gave the street name, no house number and said "only a block and a half from the location", being a bit vague for security reasons. Unfortunately, the zoning board members were entirely uninterested in the homeowner's views, and rammed through a special permit for a brewery with a bar built in, and twisted the requirement that it must be a restaurant to serve alcohol in this zoned area by letting them park a food truck in the parking lot and call it OK. Even though about 8 people spoke against it....they didn't care one bit.

#10, I feel your frustration. I've been on both sides of this bureaucratic Danse Macabre. Stipulations for approval of a hotel in Long Beach condemning businesses for " the greater good" come with non- negotiable goodies that the b-crats blue check their lib-cred on Facebook. On the other side, I was employed to represent an H.O.A.regarding what could be built in a development based upon the opinion of a "committee".i know how it feels to be a Jen Psaki. It sucked so bad I quit after a two year sentence. The worst thing about our zoning hearings is they're more unpredictable than our court system.

I have been emailing every single one of these school board members and giving them an earful. I told her the same thing, that she was inciting violence against the parents and that we are more than tired of their heavy handed tactics and arrogant condescension. I also told her, as others, keep it up, your stupid schools will be empty. They can't put the paste back in the tube, it's too late. People's eyes are open and they are rightly scared and angry.

Springfield, Ill. - The Illinois Senate voted Tuesday to repeal a decades-old law that requires a parent to be notified when a minor seeks an abortion, an effort by supporters to cement the state’s position as a liberal leader on abortion rights as other states impose greater restrictions on the procedure.(Snip)The Democratic-controlled Senate voted 32-22 to repeal the parental notification requirement, with four members of the majority party joining Republicans in opposition. City firms have been wrapped up in an equality row after it was revealed diversity proposals will allow companies to include transgender women in their gender roll calls. Equality targets will require more than a thousand of Britain's biggest companies to close the gender pay gap. But the proposals define a woman the same way as LGBTQ campaign group Stonewall rather than the way gender is usually recognised under UK law. If they go ahead, companies can meet percentage targets by including transgender women as female in their self-reported data — despite them not necessarily facing the same discrimination relating to their sex.
