New York City's Eric Adams vowed to crack down on crime if elected mayor, but after just three weeks in the position, he’s facing major setbacks as crimes continue sweeping the city.
"It's terrible - the city has gotten worse now," Vincente Malava told WABC of the increase in crimes.
Over the course of the last three weeks, the five boroughs have been rocked by a 16% increase in shootings compared to last year, a 65% increase in transit crimes, and a 25% increase in robberies. Meanwhile, the NYPD is reeling from the five officers who have been shot since Jan. 1, including a rookie cop who was shot dead.

I grew up in Brooklyn in the 70s-80s and I well remember what a cesspool NYC was. Then Giuliani became Mayor and-almost overnight!!-the city was a wonderful place to be. Nanny Bloomberg followed and, for the most part, adhered to the policies Giuliani had implemented, and for 20 years NYC was a model city, considering its size. Then came DeBlasio. He managed to turn the clock back to the 70s but now its even worse as we have "prosecutors" who are vowing NOT to prosecute!
People, stop voting Democrat. Just STOP already.

Notice the bead bracelet on the mayor's wrist...similar to the one Killer Byrd wears. Is it some kind of black power thing?

It should be clear by now that Democrats are "The Criminal Party"...of the criminals, by the criminals, and FOR the criminals...literally. Vote accordingly. And if you're still stupid enough to vote for Democrats, you earned it.

The biggest clue that Adams is a phony is his repeated goal of getting "guns" off the street.
Like other Democrats, he has no desire to rid the streets of the people who shoot those guns at other people. No, they need "services."

Come on. The guy's only been in office for three weeks. If it's still bad in six months, then make a comment about him.

It's the old bait-and-switch, again. Talked a good game, but no follow-through.
He just keeps harking on illegal guns, ''blah-blah-blah-guns off the street''.
Without criminals there would be no demand for illegal guns. When a criminals are caught with illegal guns, nothing happens to them.

The city has fallen behind - - way behind - - in the building of windmills.
Only a massive effort to construct more windmills - - will solve NYC's problems.

Here's something this Mayor never heard before. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. The influx of guns coming into the city occurs because there's a market for them. Criminals on the streets want them therefore other criminals supply them. That is a market. Take the criminals off the street you reduce the demand for the guns. Pretty simple for most of us.

Did he really think crime would go away when he put that prosecutor, who won't lock up criminals, in charge of that office. It was a , "Go ahead and do what you want folks", no problema for me.

Eric Adams already knows he’s in over his head. He doesn’t have the smarts or experience to take on this job. Instead of surrounding himself with his friends and relatives he should be looking for solid, knowledgeable people who can actually help run the city. The first thing he needs to do is stop the BS about ‘guns’ being the problem. He knows better than that. Criminals can get guns anywhere anytime. No one is buying this.

NY'ers thought Blasio was bad, just wait until you get the whole story on this dude. Well, you do know how to vote jerks into office, so it serves you right you morons. Have you seen the 'deer in the head lights' look on this guy when he is being interviewed on TV??? Let's say super brains are not staring out of those dumb eyes. But he will learn how to enrich himself and leave the city in worse shape than he found it.

The reason for this is that Eric Adams is a damn phony, and the NYC voters got suckered by some tough talk from a lightweight nitwit. Again. You could have elected someone like Curtis Sliwa, who at least has the interests of the city in mind, and can spot a criminal 9 times out of 10. Instead, you morons went for DeBlasio 2.0, and wonder why things still suck.
