Comments:

We see this now in the battle between the AOC contingent and the so-called moderates. This is an exceptionally good commentary/essay.

A very good and insightful article. I hope the GOP reads it, if they can even manage that.

I'm always puzzled why people who should know better will kowtow to the radicals. Even within the Democrat party, old-time politicians will tremble at the feet of AOC over one of her 40-character Tweets. Why not heap ridicule on her and her ilk?

Yes a very good read. Short form article on a long form topic, so I’m not sure I followed him completely but the observations about the life forces seem to be correct that the there is a psychological force that wants to tear down and start “afresh” (radicals) which is opposed by (conservatives) who want innovation but want it tested and understood before large scale implementation. The article says the “radicals always win” but I don’t know that that is true. They are united in a single purpose of tearing it all down. Conservatives might have a variety of viewpoints of what parts need saving what parts reforming and what parts eliminating and so are not united.

Let's whistle past the graveyard one more time. "It is one of the rare periods of clarity we see in American politics. Usually, they pretend the two parties are squabbling over policy, but in reality, the Republicans are bit players." The GOPe is a UNIPARTY co-star. It generally play s the part of the heel, rarely the hero...but whatever the play call for. The GOPe can be as conservative as Dubya or Mitt or nearly any name will do...it can make "best we can do" deals in Congress...and the suckers go for it every time. We are far beyond conservative-liberal fighting. The game is profiteering. How that's done is immaterial. Think Pelosi really cares about preserving abortion, or the contributions the issue brings her? Like Obama said, it's got to be spread around. Conservatives are worse than moderates in the sense they are "fighting" to preserve diminishing territory, having lost much over the past years. They raise heroes such as Dubya, and should anyone dare to ask questions, they attack rather than think. Many are as mindless as those liberals, and equally stupid. While PDT was signing the checks, those multi-Trillion Dollar stimulus packages were just dandy...now, not so much. These will cause inflation...not thinking these are standing on top of government infusions dating back to 2008. The "enemy" is not the commie Democrats...it's the UNIPARTY, including its GOPe sparring partners. Ask a liberal what they want and you'll get a laundry list. Ask a "conservative" and you get a few abstracts, like "freedom" or liberty". Sadly, most people aren't in the market for either these days.

Term limits would help take care of the chaos in D.C., with 8 years the max. If it is good for a President, why is it not good for the other elected officials ? Also, mandate that every piece of legislation MUST be read by any one who votes on it ( not their aids, flunkies, lobbyists, etc ). That would stop the multi-thousand page idiocy. Lastly, judges should not be a lifetime appointment, as it has become almost totally political. ( Try to find an Obama appointed judge who would take the side of a Conservative ).

The Pennsylvania School Boards Association voted unanimously on Thursday to withdraw from its parent organization, the National School Boards Association, after the national group demanded that the Biden administration use domestic terrorism laws to target parents who want to hold districts accountable for teaching racist curriculum and ignoring the science on masking for children. “The Pennsylvania School Boards Association was not consulted prior to the letter being sent by the National School Boards Association to President Biden. We were not asked for input nor discussion on its content,” Annette Stevenson, PSBA’s chief communications officer, said in a statement to the Delaware Valley Journal.

When rioters destroyed 500 businesses in Minnesota alone, CNN called it mostly peaceful protests. When Greta Thunberg galivanted around the world preaching her climate change socialism, CNN talking heads recommended her for a Nobel Peace Prize. But when parents get noisy at a school board meeting, that's violence. And when a 9-year-old girl speaks at a school board meeting, that is weaponizing children. CNN weaponized Jennifer Wolfe, New York "State Teacher of the Year," to pen, "When parents scream at school board meetings, how can I teach their children?" Median teacher pay in New York is $71,723 a year. If she cannot figure it out, she should find another line of work.

Ritual humiliation of social media companies is becoming something of a tradition. This is currently happening at our southern border in Texas, where the Biden Administration is refusing to build the border wall with materials already paid for during the Trump Administration.

Nearly a year has passed since the 2020 election, yet there has not been a clear, satisfactory answer to the central mystery: How did a dull, declining Joe Biden manage to get more than 81 million votes and win the presidency? After all, Biden spent most of the pandemic-laced campaign in his Delaware basement and his appearances were marked by sparse crowds and signs he had lost more than a step. Yet he flipped five states Hillary Clinton lost in 2016, including Georgia and Arizona, and racked up 306 electoral votes to Donald Trump’s 232.
