The U.S. economy is facing a new threat: rising energy prices. Crude oil has risen 64% this year to a seven-year high. Natural-gas prices have roughly doubled over the past six months to a seven-year high. Heating oil has risen 68% this year. Prices at the pump are up nearly a dollar over the past 12 months to a national average just over $3 a gallon. Coal prices are at records. Higher energy prices could push up inflation in coming months, damp consumer spending on other products and services, and ultimately slow the U.S. recovery, economists say. “For consumers it’s

Not one single word in this article about how since the communist death democrats seized power through a stolen election coup, our country went from being a self sufficient oil exporter to suddenly having to once again rely on oil imports from nations who are not really our friends nor how the Biden/Harris dictatorship is waging a very deliberate war on the Fossil Fuel industry and wanting to jack up prices so people cannot work or travel. We have always had hurricanes and bad weather disruptions temporarily causing oil shortages and oil price bumps but this is being caused by the communist democrats and their environmental commie allies. Sick of all our problems being blamed on the Chinese Wuhan Bioweapon Flu. The author is a lying buffoon and a propaganda hack.

Controlled destruction as Klaus Schwab calls it: we better get moving on energy for this winter. India has ONLY 4 days of coal left for its entire power grid, China is running out of electricity, and I read Lebanon (BBC article), the entire country, is without fuel for their power grid and the entire country is now shut down. The UK has their military delivering coal now because of trucker shortages (Covid rules). Fuel prices there rose 40% overnight. Germany now preparing for the same. Container ships waiting to dock are being abandoned by their crews because many of the shipping companies have declared bankruptcy. Crews have run out of food. Long dark winter, just as Biden predicted. Things are moving so fast.

The Democrats' socialist and climate change hoax agenda is keeping the economy down and they need scapegoats. Oil prices needed to be around $60 before the bottom fell out and with government driven inflation will need to be higher in the future ti allow companies to make a reasonable return on investment (still well below businesses with very little equipment and infrastructure expenses). Politicians love to use increasing prices of life's necessities, food, housing, and energy for example, as scapegoats for their policies that cause inflation and recession. This has been going on for a century or more and it keeps the lofo's in line. Meanwhile, Apple has the iphone 13 for well over $1000 and that is just fine.

Verizon has the new Samsung at over 1500 dollars, #4. For a damn cellphone. And they keep trying to push it endlessly. I don't need nor want such a ridiculous cellphone, but I am sure they will sell a jillion of them. Oil was down close to $20 a barrel under Trump. We were swimming in the stuff, and had so much NG available that the prices were at historic lows. Then came Xiden.

I apologize for making a second comment. I like the policy of not doing so. I want to bring one thing up though in response to something #5 said and which I have seen many times before, Oil did get down to $20 under Trump because of over supply and, of course, covid. It would have come up some later because oil companies and their suppliers were dropping like flies. I am a small one man shop, small pototoes, but suddenly, instead of building parts for downhole tooling, I found myself building parts used to plug wells. The point is, we do not want energy too cheap, then we lose self-suffiency. That sai, President Trump was handling the situation very well and getting us through it. The present administration would have simply destroyed what little was still going on at that stage.

When the Biden administration looked for ways to pay for the president’s expansive social policy bill, it proposed raising revenue by cracking down on $7 trillion in unpaid taxes, mostly from wealthy Americans and businesses. To help find those funds, the administration wants banks to give the Internal Revenue Service new details on their customers and provide data for accounts with total annual deposits or withdrawals worth more than $600. That has sparked an uproar among banks and Republican lawmakers, who say giving the IRS such power would be an enormous breach of privacy and government overreach. Banks and their
