‘Third World’ NYC drug store shelves
empty amid shoplifting surge

Thanks to a citywide shoplifting tsunami, bare necessities are now rare luxuries on drug-store shelves across New York City. “It looks like the Third World,” bemoaned one Manhattan resident, after eyeing the aisles of a CVS on Sixth Avenue in Soho desperately low of toothpaste, face wash and hand sanitizer, among a long list of other items. “They’ve all been stolen,” a CVS employee told The Post. State bail reform laws make shoplifting a promising career option for some New York City crooks. One man, Isaac Rodriguez, 22, of Queens, was arrested for shoplifting 46 times this year alone, The Post exclusively reported last week.

I don't understand why the stores are still open. Let them eat cake - nothing more to steal or anyone else to buy.

From the article: "One man, Isaac Rodriguez, 22, of Queens, was arrested for shoplifting 46 times this year alone" No need to get alarmed, maybe on the 47th or 97th arrest he'll turn his life around; or when his place is stocked more than the CVS store.

They are going to have to redesign the drug stores to where customers no longer enter the stores but write down their orders on a form, hand in the completed order to drug store employees in secure booths, and then wait outside until the completed order is handed to them after they pay up. That or go completely mail order.

The consequences of leftist insanity. If this isn’t stopped then there will be no stores at all and we will see the whining from the neighborhood that they have no stores. But don’t worry, this administration will find a way to subsidize retail stores or force them to locate in blue state s***h***s.
