Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R), alongside nine other state governors, have decided to take matters into their own hands when it comes to the southern border crisis. The group traveled to Texas to present possible solutions.During a press conference on Wednesday, Gov. Abbott unveiled a 10-point plan to secure the border. Abbott demanded the Biden administration enforce Title 42 health restrictions at the border, which allows Border Patrol agents to deport illegal immigrants in hopes of preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the U.S.Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) also took the floor, saying the border sector in Yuma has had more than a 1,000 percent increase in apprehensions compared

Iowa Governor Reynolds was there as well. Of course the first thing the local news had on was the head of the Iowa Democrat party whining about how there were things here in Iowa that needed to be done and Reynolds should be here and that illegals were nice people just trying to make a better life for themselves. Oh and the fact that Iowa sent State Troopers to help with policing the border at Iowa's expense (less than half a mil). One thing Gov Reynolds pointed out was that fentanyl drugs have increased by several hundred percent here in Iowa since the border opened up and more crime by illegals here in Iowa. The border crises affects ALL states, not just the border states. BTW I don't mind my taxes going to send troopers to the border.

We really don’t need press conferences, strongly worded letters, pictures, videos, or anything else. We need action. Instead of meeting for 3 days in a political stunt, flood the border with National Guard and citizen conscripts, and secure the border.
They don’t miss a paycheck while we get screwed every which way.

Lots of camera opportunities and ink, and it all changes nothing. The 10 point plan relies entirely upon FedGov and Xiden changing their ways, which they will not do. A completely toothless do nothing effort. Americans deserve more from our leaders than a damn photo op.
You cannot shame the communists into doing the right thing, or the Constitutional thing. They don't give one Flying F. Stop wasting everyone's time with this kind of BS. Texas, in particular, is going to have to take action themselves to seal up this sieve of a border. Xiden doesn't care. He won't even meet with the governors. Stop trying to persuade him to do anything, and do it yourselves.

Unless a few of these 'coyotes' are left rotting in the sun, courtesy of a .308 injection, this will never end. A graphic video of an illegal falling back into Mexico from the top of the wall from a similar lead injection would work wonders, but do we or will we ever have the conjones to make it happen? Or will we just roll over and surrender our country.?

Let's all be realistic here. A large percentage of these "Republican" governors are RINO's who are sock puppets for the US Chamber of Commerce. Hopefully you've noticed that the USCOC is not only NOT an opponent of illegal immigration but are open advocates of it. After all, got to have that steady stream of workers who can be paid very low wages, often under the table with none of that tax business, you see. So take this as a bit of a dog and pony show at which will call for meaningless "reforms" and ineffective "solutions to the problem" which will allow them to claim they "did something." The USCOC will be pleased and pad their campaign accounts. And we'll be left standing here in the carnage wondering what happened.

They need to quit talking and do something right now. This has been going on too long. Going on so long I question if THEY want the borders closed. The American people are going to have to stop this if our government won't.

The obvious answer is to have yet another “study” or committee which will come up with some suggestions that nobody will ever look at or follow up on or that make the least sense in the first place.

The article says they took matters into their own hands...I suppose typing letters qualifies. Gov. Abbott has a 10-point plan, so noteworthy it is not outlined in the article. So these governors got together. Iowa is concerned about girls arriving, but nothing said about the help arriving for Iowa's meat packing plants. All this handwringing and caterwauling is just more election theatre.

If the plans don't include enforcing federal law and sending the illegals back from where they came, then don't bother having the meeting.

Huge numbers of Republican politicians WANT lots of illegals in the country. Kansas has 5 or 6 very large meat cutting and packing operations which are 90% staffed by illegals. The locals love having the tax revenue, and ignore the 10 unrelated men living in a home zoned 'single family', and all the rest of the "cooperate with the illegals, we'll all make money off of them" stuff.
Repubs are NOT all against illegals coming here, taking jobs and staying here. Never assume this. If an illegal takes an American's job for less money, the businessman is pleased, and he will help elect a politician who keeps him supplied with lots of cheap illegal labor. Screw middle class America.

Just SHUT THE DAM DOOR for about a year. State Troopers, National Guard., whatever it takes and NO asylum hearings. Sorry, you want asylum, go to Canada. It is one.
