MOOSEY, Wyo. – FIRST ON FOX: Authorities on Sunday discovered a body at Grand Teton National Park in Moosey, Wyoming, where a search for missing 22-year-old Gabby Petito was underway, Teton County coroner Brent Blue confirmed to Fox News Digital. The FBI and other local law enforcement began the search in the national forest Saturday. Petito visited the area on Aug 27. Local news helicopters are broadcasting images of a white tent set up in a remote area, surrounded by investigators as well as search teams with horses.

Comments:

Although several others are missing in the park, she is only one believed to have been in the search area where this turned up. And the young man who said she was “the love of his life” is on the run.

Even the FBI agent who delivered the announcement was obviously moved. She was a vibrant young woman who obviously loved life. Those of us who have children an grandchildren mourn her loss and feel for her family.

Damn. Another beautiful woman destroyed by a stinking predator. I had hoped that she would be OK, but knew it was going to end this way. I won't say what I think needs to happen to the boyfriend. I am sure most of us are thinking the same thing.

Give credit to the people who had a car camera running when they passed through the Grand Teton area. They had recalled passing a van that resembled the one Gabby and the boyfriend had been using. As far as I know, no one else recalled seeing that van parked along the side of the road in late August. That apparently helped narrow down the search area. She's been missing for 3 weeks so it must have been a very remote area.

Some days ago the boyfriend Brian Laundrie said he was going hiking in T. Mabry Carlton Jr. Memorial Reserve just north of North Port, Florida, and vanished. He's still missing. Now that Gabby has apparently been identified, Laundrie probably becomes the top suspect. Of course, before he went missing, he had lawyered up. That doesn't mean he killed her, but he's acting like a murderer would. There are alligators, and quite possibly black bears and Florida panthers in the Carlton Reserve, not to mention venomous snakes and non-indigenous Burmese pythons. Maybe something "et" him.

How ironic that she was the one cited for domestic abuse when they were stopped in Utah. She was in such emotional distress. I wish the cops there had taken her into custody overnight as they initially discussed. Perhaps she would have opened up more. In any case, a very sad story. RtP

Some tiresome folks like to misrepresent others comments. The news media choosing this particular murder case for wall to wall coverage for days is because they need a distraction from the multiple huge political disasters created by the DC junta. That doesn't mean that this terrible murder isn't real, or isn't extremely tragic. It is. But there are probably three or more other murders that are just as real, equally sad and tragic, but won't get remotely same media attention because this is the one they selected for their distraction. Having lost a young family member, I feel very sorry for the family. This is a loss that will never be far from their daily thoughts.

This is horrible but to put in perspective, In 2020, there were 769 murders, up considerably compared to the 495 murders tallied in 2019. This is just in Chicago alone but the left and media don’t give a damn about black people.

The 26-page indictment of former cybersecurity attorney and Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann by special counsel John Durham is as detailed as it is damning on the alleged effort to push a false Russia collusion claim before the 2016 presidential campaign. One line, however, seems to reverberate for those of us who have followed this scandal for years now: “You do realize that we will have to expose every trick we have in our bag.” That warning from an unnamed “university researcher” captures the most fascinating aspect of the indictment in describing a type of Nixonian dirty tricks operation run by — or at least billed to — the Clinton

The news was heartbreaking and what everyone feared. On Sunday, a body believed to be that of a missing woman, Gabby Petito, was found a camping area in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest, near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie, who was traveling with her, has meanwhile vanished. He is now the subject of an intensive search in Florida where the couple lived. Whether law enforcement is officially calling him a suspect in Petito’s death is immaterial and nothing more than the parsing of legally-loaded vocabulary. Police and the FBI are certainly treating him as a suspect. And for good reason.

The scientific method used to govern much of popular American thinking. In empirical fashion, scientists advised us to examine evidence and data, and then by induction come to rational hypotheses. The enemies of “science” were politics, superstition, bias, and deduction. Yet we are now returning to our version of medieval alchemy and astrology in rejecting a millennium of the scientific method. Take the superstitions that now surround COVID-19. We now know from data that a prior case of COVID-19 offers immunity as robust as vaccination. Why, then, are Joe Biden’s proposed vaccination mandates ignoring that scientific fact? Dr. Anthony Fauci, when asked, seemed at a loss for words.

They were a gruesome twosome. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were both in on withdrawing from Afghanistan. They apparently both ignored the various memos and reports from the State Department and elsewhere that painted a much more dismal picture of what things were like on the ground. I take that back; Joe did know. That’s why he phoned now-ex-Afghan President Ashraf Ghani prior to his government’s collapse to essentially lie about the state of his country. Biden wanted Ghani to be ‘Baghdad Bob,’ but Ghani was more concerned about modernizing Afghanistan’s economy than the deteriorating security situation.
