Washington— U.S. Capitol Police didn’t adequately respond to frantic calls for help from officers when they pressed panic buttons on their radios seeking immediate backup as scores of pro-Trump rioters beat officers with bats, poles and other weapons, an inspector general’s report found. The report obtained by The Associated Press offered new details about the shortcomings by law enforcement during the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol. The report found that most of the emergency activations from individual officers’ radios were never simulcast on police radio, a standard protocol designed to spread the word to other officers about emergencies and crises. The on-duty watch commander appears not to have been made aware

Do you, Associated Press, know who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt? Do members of the current Capitol Police force know? Could it be a "high official" within the Capitol Police force? OFFICIALLY, will the name ever be known to the American public?

Are there NOT literally thousands of phone videos from those who were actually there that gives us some perspective? I'm sure some show both peaceful and violent pictures. Still, along with what official cameras videos which have not yet been made public - perhaps never will - we the public need to see.

If Trump supporters came to Washington to do what Antifa and BLM do on a regular basis, Washington would have looked like a war zone. The AssPress can not help itself. Whatever went wrong on January 6th was deliberate and for the sole purpose of deflecting a stolen election with charges of "insurrection." Any violence on that day was caused by BLM, Antifa and actions of the Capitol Police and the FBI. The democrats needed an excuse to wall themselves in and create a National Guard presence to protect them from the wrath of the people. The need for protection is not over yet dems, we have long memories.

The fact that the Capitol Cop that shot and killed an unarmed demonstrator was exonerated may have unexpected consequences. Any future demonstration may find demonstrators carrying weapons to defend themselves from being murdered by Capitol Cops since Capitol Cops are exonerated if they kill somebody.

Post 9/11 millions were sunk into a first-class communications system promising to eliminate the many critical problems that emerged. No doubt that cash continued to flow over the years. Everyone in every agency was supposed to be in sync. And now this. The USCP is more like TSA than a police department. The vast majority of its focus is screening visitors at the doors, not preventing or solving crime. It has plans to respond to groups marching on the Capitol or misbehaving in the halls of Congress, but that's as far as it generally goes. It does not do hostile crowds well standing behind bike racks.

"Bats, poles and other weapons". Now this is news. First I've heard of this the only weapon I heard was used, and nobody seemed to verify it much, was spraying someone with a fire extinguisher. Unpleasant but hardly the same thing as hitting someone one with a club. We do know that after the "press", reported "armed insurrectionists" that there wasn't any evidence found, you know like actually arresting someone with a gun of some kind. This is the kind of "twisting" news and slanting a story that the AP and all of the major MSM outlets seem to use. We have people in jail for six-seven months for basically criminal trespass. At the same time all around the nation actual violent rioting, looting, and property destruction is resulting in no arrests, releases without bail or jail time. Can you say double standard, sure you can I know you can.

Either the Capitol Police are grossly incompetent or they were instructed to allow the protesters (and ANTIFA provocateurs) access to the Capitol. I lean toward the latter. This demonstration has been twisted by the Fascists into a potent weapon with which to persecute and cancel conservatives.

One of the most effective ways for the MSM to shut down an inquiry into misconduct is to say it is all a conspiracy theory. Besides avoiding an unwanted discussion, the charge also invites scrutiny of the "theorist" instead of the issue itself. Notice how quickly some even start off saying something like "I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but..." Expecting their reaction, we have become almost trained to do this. But are there really no big conspiracies? It has been claimed that the phrase "conspiracy theory" was invented by the government to discourage the questioning of official explanations for important events, especially the JFK assassination.
