Tickets are now on sale for trips on the world's largest and tallest observation wheel, Ain Dubai. Last year, the TV documentary Impossible Engineering showed how the enormous wheel was constructed in Dubai. Now visitors will finally get to ride it from October 21. The record-breaking wheel is over 250m (820ft) in height, made up of 48 double-glazed cabins and can take 1,750 passengers at one time. (Photo/Video) In size and scale, Ain Dubai towers over any wheel to come before it. It's twice the size of the London Eye, which is 'only' 135m (443ft) tall and carries up to 800 passengers.

That would be a "target" were it in the USA or Europe. Isn't it interesting that tall things aren't so designated right there in Islam country?

It seems it would take a long time to load and unload with passengers. If people enjoy it, good for them, but its not for me. After watching "Engineering disasters" on the Science Channel, I view things differently. Ha!

Observation wheel? What is there to observe except a tiny island surrounded by water. Why not call it a Ferris wheel as that's what it is?

Last night I watched the series "Extreme Engineering" and it was about the Dubai's Bluewaters island. Quite a feat, but there is NO WAY I would set foot on that "observation wheel."

With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old. That is one year older than Ronald Reagan’s age when he left office in 1988.Looking at the 2024 contest from the other side of the race, there is no reason to expect that Joe Biden

Frequent consumers of news may be aware of Gallup's annual poll measuring the "most admired man" in America which is typically announced a few days before New Year's. The poll was done yearly from 1946 through 2020, with 1976 the only year that was skipped. NewsBusters pointed out a year ago that liberal news media lost interest in the annual poll after Donald Trump started edging out Barack Obama for first place, whereas the networks previously enjoyed using the survey to embarrassing Trump as sitting President failing to come in first place. This year, a Google search conspicuously shows no sign that Gallup conducted such a poll
