Texas gubernatorial candidate Allen West's wife has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence on Friday night.
West is said to be 'beyond livid' with the Dallas Police Department for the arrest which he insists was wrongful and that his wife was sober at the time. Angela Graham-West, 61, was driving home from dinner at P.F. Changs with her three-month-old grandson, Jaxton, when she was pulled over for a traffic violation at around 8.45p.m. Friday night in Dallas County, leading to an officer to suspect that she was intoxicated before performing a field sobriety test on her.(Snip)On Sunday, West posted a photo

The breathalizer and or blood test will tell the story. This info isn’t given in the article.

#2, it's not stated in the article because it was ZERO! She passed the breathalyzer but the officer didn't accept the results and arrested her. A blood test at the station confirmed the breathalyzer results, ZERO.

Both tests were negative #2. The fake news didn't bother to report that.

The point, here, number one, is that you can't always get the story from the headline.

There was an ISSUE with the arresting officer. The breathalizer said negative but the officer arrested her anyway to make her husband look BAD.

Colonel West expected GOPe dirty tricks, OP.
West supporters have been watching his campaign catch fire across Texas and we expected something. Most of us have run into loyal Bushies who let us know how awful West is to dare challenge Abbott.
Colonel West did the smart thing. He went straight to LIVE Fb at 3:30 am from the Dallas PD where he let Texans know what happened. He did two more thorough updates on Fb too. He got thousands of supportive comments. This was a setup and Abbott’s people may be totally innocent but happy if Dallas democrats were behind it.

Makes me support him more. Obviously the Daily Mail hates him, that's good, and obviously his wife didn't try to pull rank, very very good. Go Col. West!!

Why didn't the headline say...'allegedly' driving while intoxicated? They make it sound like she was arrested, tried and found guilty already.

Col. and Mrs. West, please always be with other trusted ppl when you go out, preferably with a CCP; yes, even to the market... or use delivery services.
There is safety in numbers, as Mom from Dallas taught us.

Tis is not the first time dirty tricks have been used against Col. West.
In 2011 Democrat Congresswoman from Florida, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, smeared Alan by claiming he sexually harrassed her by sending her a prvate single email that had nothing whatsoever to do with sex. She disclosed the innocent email to the public. Allen was defending his honor from scurious remarks she made during a speech she made on the floor of the House of Representatives. She and other Democrat DC politicians ganged up on Alan and demanded he appoligize. He did not appoligize. He fought back, much like he's doing now regarding this attempted set-up. I suspect that Alan and his wife are being tailed by police and possibly others, and that this false arrest was not by mistake nor conicidence.

The DM article seemed fair to me, and was more complete than the Fox News version, including Col. West stating that the test was negative. And absolutely this is a setup from someone who wants the border left wide open, as it is under Greg Abbot, who only started crowing about the border (and still doing nothing about it) after Col. West threw his hat in the ring.

Texas law allows a trooper to be an "Expert witness" and claim under that expertise that an individual is drunk/impaired, regardless of roadside tests. I got a DWI that way, had spent 2 weeks on a drilling rig in Okla. worked my final 12hrs, drove straight home to San Marcos, pulled into the 7-11 a block from the house, bought a six pack, popped the top and got lit up as soon as I left the driveway...I had ONE sip.(it was legal to have an open container at the time) Turns out...the cop had started dating an old flame of mine while I was out on the rig for 2 weeks, she was the police dispatcher...she was not amused by his actions. I ended up cleared in court. He ended up single again.
That said....PF Changs??? Chhhiiiinnnaaaaa!

I visited several sites hosting articles about this, one they said she spent the night in jail before being released. Other sites were omission issues where they forgot to tell the readers she had zero alcohol scores on the breath and blood tests.
If I was West I'd vacuum up the sites, hire some good lawyers (??) and make them pay.

In reply to one of the posters above, not wanting a carpetbagger from Florida to become our governor definitely does NOT make us Bushies.
On the other hand, I would not be at all surprised if this was a politically motivated stunt. It seems to happen quite often. Dallas is not that far from being Austin or Seattle politically.

What #25 said. May be a fishy occurrence and she may well be innocent, but we need a Texan as Texas governor. Those are two separate issues.

And the rest of the story is that she passed the breathalizer test, and the blood test and had only had lemonade at her lunch. How about a little lying as usual on the part of the press and I hope that Allen and his wife sue all these papers for producing and spreading liable.

Except she was not intoxicated. They posted her dinner receipts. There was no alcohol.
This was a blatant misleading article based on CBS DFW article that only mentioned she was not intoxicated at the bottom of the article.

How truly sad that a good conservative black patriotic veteran who chose our state as HOME in 2014 is smeared with the Carpetbagger label. He is a Texan by choice. It says a lot more about those who use those labels than it does about Colonel West.

The article says, without actually saying so, that the Dallas PD is wholly corrupt as is the Dallas City Council! These actions by the Police Dept is PROOF POSITIVE of my assertion.
