It was wild.'

A California man was reportedly arrested in possession of 300 mail-in votes for the upcoming gubernatorial recall election, along with guns and drugs.
According to reports Monday by Los Angeles news outlets, the unnamed man was arrested last week while sleeping in his car parked at a Torrance 7-Eleven.
“Inside the vehicle, the officers found a loaded handgun, some narcotics, and then they found a bunch of mail and what turned out to be over 300 election ballots in the backseat of the vehicle,” Sgt. Mark Ponegalek of the Torrance Police Department said, according to TV station KABC.(Snip)“There’s nothing to indicate this was focused on the election,”

A New York judge ordered a defendant to get the COVID-19 vaccine as part of his plea deal, while another made it part of a drug dealing suspect's bail terms, unusual moves that legal observers say raise serious questions about the line between civil liberty and the law. Recently, in a rare move, Manhattan judge Jed Rakoff granted the release of a woman accused of drug dealing on the condition she get vaccinated. Judge Rakoff argued that he did not feel comfortable granting bail to a defendant who posed a danger to the public.(Snip)Another order came from Bronx judge Jeffrey Zimmerman who made vaccination part

As the number of recorded coronavirus infections in the UK rises again, we spoke to three people about their experiences of catching Covid despite having been fully vaccinated, and how it affected their daily lives.
Clare Jenkins, 44, from Cambourne, Cambridgeshire, contracted Covid this month after her 13-year-old daughter became infected at a party.(Snip)“It did definitely come as a surprise when we got ill. My husband has been much more poorly with Covid than I was. We were really worried about him for a while–he had the full checklist of symptoms really badly for 10 days. “We have had to cancel our only holiday

President Joe Biden hailed the FDA's approval of the Pfizer vaccine as the 'moment you’ve all been waiting'–as he urged Americans who have been sitting on the fence to get their vaccine shots 'today' but dodged comment on Afghanistan. It was a welcome moment of good news for an administration battered by weeks of negative headlines, from spiking cases of COVID-19 to the collapse of the Afghan government and plunging poll numbers. And Biden, speaking at the White House, portrayed it as a huge victory even though it will be of limited practical value months after the vaccination received emergency approval.

Detective Everett Briscoe had earned his vacation. A 13-year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department, Briscoe had investigated homicides and other serious crimes across the city for over a decade. The 41-year-old father of two boys was preparing to pursue a university degree in criminal justice and, like many, was working to keep his family safe during the coronavirus pandemic. So as he unwound during a trip to Houston on Saturday night, Briscoe decided to grab dinner on the patio of the Grotto Restorante in the Texas city's ritzy Galleria neighborhood. But at 5:15 p.m., the evening turned tragic when two gunmen approached Briscoe

As disgraced outgoing Gov. Andrew Cuomo packed his bags and sent his belongings to his sister’s house in his last days in office, he left something very important behind—his dog. Instead, Cuomo asked staff at his Albany mansion if they want to take care of his dog, Captain, the Albany Times Union reported, citing two state police sources. The sources also told the publication an Executive Mansion worker recently took Captain home but didn’t want to take care of the canine. The pooch—a 3½-year-old Siberian-shepherd-Malamute mix—has bitten multiple people in recent years, the Times Union reported.

A retired top US military general and former CIA chief sparked outrage over the weekend by comparing supporters of former President Donald Trump to the Taliban and calling a suggestion to send 'the MAGA wearing unvaxxed' to Afghanistan a 'good idea.' Retired four-star Air Force General Michael Hayden on Thursday retweeted a split image of armed militants in a caravan of white pickup trucks with the caption 'Their Taliban.' Under that was a picture of cars adorned with Trump 2020 and American flags along a highway.

Homicides are outpacing COVID deaths in the District and in other major cities, prompting former law enforcement officials to sound the alarm on the nationwide effort on the part of some activists and politicians to defund police departments. In the nation’s capital, there were eight deaths from COVID-19 in July. But the District recorded 20 homicides last month, bringing the year’s total to 114, already surpassing last year’s homicides total of 109 with five more months to go. “We are all concerned about the pandemic. We have a pandemic of violence that is sweeping this nation and we have an opportunity to stop it but

Sen. Ron Johnson called out the Biden administration’s health agencies Sunday for shortcutting the usual safety reviews in a rush to give final approval to COVID-19 vaccines, including failing to account for thousands of deaths and adverse reactions among people worldwide who got the shots. In a letter to the administration’s top health officials, the Wisconsin Republican warned against the Food and Drug Administration’s pending approval of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine, which is expected Monday.
He said the fast-track decision appeared more political than scientific since it skipped the usual formal advisory committee meeting and did not fully account for the reports of deaths and disabilities

Joe Biden was hit by another on-air gaffe Sunday when he appeared to forget the name of his FEMA director just moments after speaking with her. In 10-to-12-second video clips that have sparked widespread discussion about the president's wellbeing, Biden said, 'There's no one better to lead this operation than...than....umm...uh...Deanne....uh....Criswell.' Critics say the flub—which came during a press conference on his withdrawal from Afghanistan, and Tropical Storm Henri, is further evidence of Biden's cognitive decline. Last week, the 78 year-old president—the oldest man ever elected to the United States' highest office—made a series of contradictory

Texas gubernatorial candidate Allen West's wife has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence on Friday night.
West is said to be 'beyond livid' with the Dallas Police Department for the arrest which he insists was wrongful and that his wife was sober at the time. There he is, the best the United States has to offer. If a Republican stumbled like this the MSM would hammer away as one about how this was clear evidence that women are valueless to him since he can't even be bothered to remember their names.
