While the Biden administration struggles on the issue of rescuing Americans still stranded in Afghanistan, a man from Colorado says that his wife and children are trapped in Kabul with no idea how to get home.
“My wife and my daughters for now are hiding in a house in Kabul,” the man, who wished to remain anonymous, told Fox31.

Even before this disastrous series of events, did it really seem like a good idea to go there for a visit??
FTA:
According to the man, his wife and daughters were visiting family in Afghanistan when the Taliban started its takeover of the country. One day prior to the fall of Kabul, the man had arranged for his family to return on Turkish Airlines, but the flight was subsequently canceled as the Taliban began taking control of the city.
“I think it’s chaos. There are a lot of lives in danger,” he told the outlet.
“I’m worried about my wife and children,” he added.

Some sympathy for trapped people, but choosing to go to a horrible, unstable war zone in a third world hellhole is an incredibly naive and even foolish choice. A lot of the blame is on the people who chose to go there.

Okay, lemme see if I got this right: she decided to visit her relatives - in a war zone - and took her children with her?
Morons.

It is sad, regardless of their decision to visit relatives, that our country would abandon its citizens to a barbaric horde. Now the best they can hope for is a hostage situation with the poor man's wife and daughters becoming Taliban sex slaves until ransom is paid.

"Wished to remain anonymous" prob. cause he voted for Biden, no more mean tweets from Trump, but many a mean treat from Muhammed.

The cynic in me wonders why the wife took the daughters to Afghanistan. Was it to marry them to cousins so the cousins could be brought to the U.S? Was it to get their genitals hacked off as "female circumcision?" We'll never know, but it does beg a question as to why she traveled to a country where the Taliban were clearly advancing to a total takeover.
If it was just to "visit relatives" in Afghanistan, why not send the relatives tickets and meet them in Pakistan, or one of the other "...stan" countries in the region?
I feel sorry for the daughters - as girls who have grown up in the U.S. and probably American citizens, they would be prizes, and likely passed around as trophies.

Unfortunately, stupid decisions yield bad consequences sometimes. I am amazed at this assumption American soldiers will be deployed any time one or two fools decide to go have a family party in a third world hellhole if things get dangerous. I feel sorry for this man because he is going to have to rely on his wife’s relatives for help.

The Americans in Afghanistan will be held for ransom. The Taliban want their billions that Janet Yellen put off limits. Until they get the money, the Americans will stay put in Kabul and elsewhere.

Even if the American family makes it out alive, a horrible fate awaits the relatives they were staying with for having Western influence. Rapes and beheadings.

Very poor judgement on the part of the family. Video calls from the safety of their Colorado home would have made a lot more sense. They are in for a long painful ordeal.

Dumbasses come in all shapes and colors. This guy is as smart as some who decide to hunker down in their homes in the face of a big hurricane rather than spend a few bucks on motel rooms further inland. They are the first to call 911 and want a helicopter and crew to risk their lives to rescue them.

A comment on the vicious cycle that ensues harboring refugees from third-world hellholes around the globe. Afghanistan, for example: We bring them in, they migrate to Fremont and settle there but still don't know how to use toilet paper. Then they bring in their relatives via chain migration. Then they become citizens and travel back to visit the hellhole from which they came and we're now obligated to go in and rescue them. Something is not right with this picture.
